Aegle Mind Hypnotherapy

Aegle Mind Hypnotherapy Cognitive Hypnotherapy for Young Women in The New Forest Area that are struggling with Anxiety, Low Mood, Insecurities, Social Anxiety and Transition.

The path that led me to where I am today has taken many twists and turns, but each step has given me something invaluable that shapes the way I work. For a lot of my teenage years I felt lost and disconnected. As I grew older my world began to lose its former colour and appeal. I lacked any confidence at all and felt like I was losing who I really was, what it was to be ‘me’. There are two key mom

ents that helped me to reconnect with myself and find confidence, passion and happiness. The first was being convinced to take a yoga Class. The second, seeking out help from a cognitive hypnotherapist. Combined these two practices have allowed me to control the incessant chatter of the monkey mind so that I can rest more and more in the present moment, rather than worrying about the past or wishing myself somewhere in the future. My passion is supporting young female adults and women who are struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, perfectionism, or are trapped in cycles of negativity, to dissolve unhelpful beliefs and habits so that they can find a sense of belonging, purpose and self-worth. Through a deep and emphatic understanding I empower my clients with knowledge and skills to regain control over their own thoughts, feelings, behaviours and ultimately find happiness within their life.

Have you ever had that perfect moment to open up to your best friend, your mum, your partner, your therapist but the words seem stuck in your throat?

Perhaps you don't know how to explain what you're feeling. Or maybe you don't even know yourself.

Expressing emotions can be challenging, especially when we don't know exactly what we are feeling, let alone why.

We are taught from a young age that certain emotions are good, others are bad. That we want to chase some and run away from other. This leads to rejecting certain emotions or piling up guilt, frustration and anger when you don't feel those 'good' emotions enough.

Many people struggle in defining how they feel at any given moment.

A daily mental health check in is one of the best practices you can do to help you get in touch with yourself and your fluctuating emotions. You might begin simply like with the checklist above and over time your language and understanding of emotion will increase.

Let me know how you feel today by sharing a coloured heart in the comments. I have been ❤ this week but feeling 🧡

SELF CARE IS NOT SELFISH.

It’s not just about taking me-time or mani-pedis or treat-yourself days. It’s about protecting your mental health. It's about honouring your boundaries. It's about preserving your energy so that you can continue to show up for yourself, your friends and family.

Self care looks different to everyone. There's no one size fits all approach.

For me it's wild swimming, practicing yoga, reading a book, going on a walk. For you it might be taking a bath, watching a film, doing some knitting. Whatever brings you back into a state of balance I'd self care.

What have you done for yourself today? Let me know in the comments.

Anxiety is natural and normal. When humans evolved we needed this stress response to activate flight and fight to help us escape from potential dangers.

These short bursts of adrenaline kept us alive! 💃

These days however, we live in much safer times. There are no wild tigers attacking us. We dont need to be on the look out for neighbouring tribes. The problem is, the amygdala (part of the brain 🧠 that triggers the fight or flight response) didn't get the memo.

It misinterprets every day challenges, like giving a speech, flying in a plane, being in a group of people, as life or death 💀 situations. If someone looks at us the wrong way the brain fires up our survival response pouring adrenaline into our blood stream making sure we're on high alert ⚠️

Now that’s the general theory behind anxiety. But of course, some people struggle way more than others. So what's going on? Swipe left to find out.

Now of course you're going to think that I am bias for choosing Cognitive Hypnotherapy. But the research backs me up here revealing it to be the most effective (and cost efficient) approach. Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D reviewed the overall lasting success of various psychological approaches and found the following:

⭐ Psychotherapy - 38% success rate after 600 sessions

⭐ Behaviour Therapy - 72% success rate after 22 session

⭐ Hypnotherapy 93% success rate after 6 sessions

Verdict - Hypnotherapy really works and it CAN help you!
