Yay! 🥳

After having our little Beatrix back in 2023, getting back to teaching in 2024, studying my pre/post natal specialism the same year, and then countless late nights since to try and complete the coursework - I can FINALLY say that I am qualified and certified to teach pre/post natal Pilates both in groups or private sessions.

I'm thrilled to share this, and really excited to start my new offerings over the coming months.

Meet Anne & Brian - a real life example of what it means to 'practise' Pilates on a regular basis.

They came to me already having had some experience, but wanted to achieve bigger and more integrated movement experiences, so that they could leave feeling stronger and more connected.

We have worked week after week to find the best way possible for their own unique bodies to improve.

This video demonstrates how far they've come - even standing up on the reformer in the early days felt daunting, and now look! They can now not only stand on it, but they can move unaided with fluidity and control.

Well autumn certainly seems close here in Macclesfield today, what's with all this rain?!

Anyway, it gives me the perfect opportunity to unpack my new delivery of equipment, just in time for our new autumn term- starting next week!! Eek, it's come round so fast 😅

New equipment gives me scope to experiment with class plan ideas, and to ensure that all of my clients feel safe and comfortable yet challenged all at the same time!!

I can't wait to see you back on the mat soon!

Bet there's a lot of my parent friends/clients who can agree -

Finding time to carve out of your already jam packed schedule is NOT easy!!

However even the smallest amounts each day can make the world of difference.

So, kick the toys out of the way...and grab yourself a moment 😅

A lovely review from one of my most recent Macclesfield clients.

It's such a joy to hear that she felt supported as she began her journey of movement with us.

For me, teaching is a pleasure as I love to meet new people, and to learn over the weeks who they are, what they like (or don't like) to do, and why moving is important to them. 

Each client that walks through our doors is so different from the next, so my aim is always to treat them as the individual that they are, and to ensure that the Pilates they are practicing works for them.

Some arrive with prior conditions such as spondylolisthesis, herniated disc, sciatica or tennis elbow for example, and exercises are always modified to suit.

It's never a one size fits all in our classes 😉

Our hips are designed to move in a variety of ways.

Try this simple exercise to see if you can still move from the hips, or are you tempted to compensate and move from somewhere else? 🤔

Don't forget to keep heavy through the back of your pelvis, so that the thigh bones are free to find their groove 😉

It may be more difficult than you think!
