Hay fever season can show up on your skin too, not just your nose and eyes 💐 🤧

When your body releases histamine during an allergic reaction, it can trigger inflammation, which may leave your skin feeling more red, puffy, itchy, dry or sensitive than usual.

So if your skin suddenly feels “off”, your normal products are stinging, or your barrier feels a little fragile, hay fever could be playing a part.

A few gentle reminders for this season:

👉Switch to a mild cleanser
👉Pause strong actives like retinol or exfoliating acids
👉Use a nourishing barrier cream
👉Avoid rubbing your eyes where possible
👉Keep your routine simple until your skin settles

The sun is getting stronger and I am not letting you forget it! UV doesn’t clock off when it’s cloudy, and here in the UK we are very good at underestimating it.

SPF is genuinely the single most effective anti-ageing, skin-protecting step you can take. From someone with 15 years in aesthetics, a nursing background and a slight obsession with skin; please, wear your SPF!

SPF 30 minimum. SPF 50 if you can. Every day. Rain or shine.
