Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands on treatment which has its roots in oesteopathy, it can be beneficial for almost any condition, as it works with the bodies inherent healing potential, from structural to emotional conditions, or for finding a restful relaxing stillness, which in turn resources the body and brings a sense of wellbeing. It involves listening to the natural craniosacral rhythm in the body,a subtle tidal fluid motion of the cerebral spinal fluid. This tidal motion is produced by the body’s inherent life force, called the Breath of Life. This motion has great importance in carrying the breath of life throughout the body, as long as it is expressed, health will follow. The potency of the breath of life, carries an essential blueprint for health, which acts as a basic ordering principle at a cellular level. The treatment provides an opportunity for the body to recognize and let go of holding patterns and return to a more central balanced and healthier state of being. I feel that craniosacral therapy allows an exploration and enquiry of the body and its healing principles, through a deep listening to body intelligence, witnessing the present moment in the dynamic stillness at our core, and opening into the wider field of perception from there….
