I'm not particularly interested in the box you’ve been placed into.

Not because labels and diagnoses don't have value. They absolutely can. They can provide understanding, validation and sometimes necessary access to support.

They tell us what is happening. But the story of how we arrived there and how we move forward is often still waiting to be explored.

I'm interested in exploring your why and what next.

🌿Why has the body arrived at this point?
🌿Why does this pattern keep repeating?
🌿Why does stress show up in this particular way?
🌿What is beneath this symptom structurally, biochemically, emotionally or energetically?

For me, kinesiology is about uncovering the patterns that led you here.
The patterns shaped by experiences.
👫Relationships.
🧠Core beliefs.
🍲Nutrition.
🏙️Environment.
😖 Stress.
And the many ways your body has learned to adapt throughout life.

Because symptoms rarely exist in isolation. They are often part of a much larger story.

Using muscle testing as a guide, we can begin to trace the pathways through that story, exploring the connections between physical health, nervous system regulation, nutrition, emotions, experiences and energy.

Not because we are looking for something to blame.
But because understanding creates space for change.

When we begin to connect the dots, we often move from confusion to clarity.
And from clarity, a new pathway forward can begin to emerge.

Patterns help us understand how we got here.
Pathways help us discover where we go next.

💫 I'm looking to help you discover the patterns that brought you here AND the pathways that support your return to balance. 💫

Sometimes it’s hard to put a session into words…
But these are some of the words clients have shared after experiencing kinesiology sessions.

Gentle.
Supportive.
Insightful.
Relaxing.
A sense of calm and clarity.
Even… a little magical.

One of the things I love most about this work is watching the body communicate so clearly with clients. Sometimes it directs us towards supporting the physical body, and other times it offers gentle, insightful nudges that help bring clarity on a deeper emotional or sometimes a soul level.

Through kinesiology, the body can reveal where imbalances may be sitting and the root causes behind them, whether physical, biochemical, emotional or energetic. It creates space to slow down, listen, reconnect and support the body as a whole. I’m the translator, holding space for whatever the body is ready to communicate, while the client brings their own awareness, openness and lived experience to the session.

Together, we begin to piece together the messages the body is asking to be seen.

🎉I only went and did it! 🎉

I have officially passed my final exams and am now a Professional Diplomate Kinesiologist.

This has been years in the making.

What began with Foundation Level training in 2023 developed through Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology, 18 months of client-facing practice before even beginning diploma level, continual CPD in nutrition and naturopathic principles, Level 5 Nutritional Therapy studies, and a deepening understanding of the energetic systems and subtle energies that influence our health and wellbeing.

I then completed the final year-long diploma yesterday, which consisted of:
💫 50 case studies
💫 Monthly assignments
💫 A research paper
💫 Written examination
💫 An observed practical assessment marked against professional standard criteria

Completing the course is a milestone moment, but more than anything, I’m proud of the commitment it took to get here and to be contributing to the wider growing movement of natural health and wellbeing therapies.

Kinesiology is an incredibly comprehensive modality that understands the body as a whole, recognising that our health is not just physical, but also emotional, biochemical, energetic and deeply interconnected.

Time and time again, I witness people reconnect with themselves in ways they never expected, realising that the body holds incredible wisdom and that symptoms are communication. Together, we piece the jigsaw together and make sense of what the body is trying to say.

I love that magical moment when clients realise the answers they were searching for were within them all along.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, trusted me, encouraged me and believed in me along the way.

Special big love to Sarah Tompsett - The Sovereign Space Julie Boseley Energy Awareness Teacher and Practitioner Balanced Health Bude Better Health Kinesiology & Yvonne

In a recent session, a client mentioned knee pain.

Like many of us would, they assumed it was purely physical, something related to exercise or strain. And yes, we could have stayed at that level (and sometimes that is where the focus needs to be) but kinesiology allows the body to speak, and when we listened, a deeper story began to unfold.

Instead of focusing solely on the knee, the body guided us toward an underlying struggle with detoxing and an emotional pattern of “holding on.” Metaphysically, the knee can reflect themes like rigidity, resistance to change, lack of emotional flexibility, or feeling stuck.

As we explored further, the body indicated support was needed on multiple levels:
✨ The kidney system (which energetically flows through the knee), which showed us the theme of restlessness, something the client was experiencing through frequent urination
✨ The liver, (which supports tendons and ligaments, therefore also influencing joints like the knee) a key detox organ, which appeared overloaded and struggling to keep up
✨ The gut, which needed optimising likely due to an imbalance contributing to toxicity and inflammation

⚖From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, this connection makes even more sense.

Within the 5 Element system, 💦 Water nourishes 🌳Wood.
🌳 The Liver (Wood element) relies on the 💦 Kidneys (Water element) to ensure it can bring a smooth flow of energy throughout the body. This means when the Kidney system is under strain, it can impact the Liver system’s ability to detoxify effectively and maintain emotional flow.

We also connected this to ongoing skin issues, often a sign that when primary detox pathways are overwhelmed, the body uses the skin as an alternative route to eliminate toxins.

After exploring the layers involved, the body brought us back to what it needed most: supporting detoxification, nourishing the gut, and allowing emotional energy to move rather than be held onto. Vibrational remedies were used to support emotional flow, alongside a focus on antioxidant support and gut healing.

This is where this client’s knee issue gets the support it really needs.

This is what a root-cause approach looks like.

Rather than suppressing or focusing on symptoms alone, we work with the body to understand its signals, addressing underlying imbalances, and empower healing from within.

Your body already holds the answers.
I’m simply here to help translate.

Kinesiology is a powerful root-cause complementary therapy that helps us listen to what the body is truly asking for, so we can create lasting change.

Sessions this week have naturally flowed into goal setting, helping clients get clear on direction and uncovering the blocks sitting in the way.

We have a goal-setting technique that’s perfect for this work and honestly… I love it.

This week alone it’s come up around weight management, allowing support in, resisting cravings, and staying focused.

✨ And then it clicked today… it’s a full moon!

So, there’s no coincidence that this is what’s been coming up. The timing is too perfect. Full moons are all about releasing what we no longer need and I love that this has been reflected in what my client's bodies have asked for this week in particular (remember, in Kinesiology the body tells us what it needs). This technique helps us identify where blocks in the energy system may be stopping us achieving our goals and release them.

When clients are ready and willing to look at what’s been holding them back and start choosing differently, Kinesiology creates space for insight, shift, and real forward movement.

💪🏻The PMS muscle (Pectoralis Major Sternal) is a muscle that I work with often and is associated with the Liver meridian.

This muscle often gives insight into how well the body is adapting, as this system is an absolute powerhouse with hundreds of essential roles.

Using the PMS, below are some of the areas we might explore and support within a kinesiology session:

⚖The Liver system plays a central role in processing and clearing hormones, including the conversion of thyroid hormones and the clearance of excess hormones such as oestrogen. This is why this muscle may show imbalance in cases of PMS, perimenopause, or other hormonal shifts.

🤧It’s also involved in breaking down histamine, so when these pathways are under strain, we may see symptoms such as headaches, skin reactions, or sinus issues.

🍫From a blood sugar perspective, the liver helps store and release glucose in the form of glycogen to maintain blood sugar balance. When this balance is disrupted, it can influence energy levels, cravings, and weight patterns.

🍖The liver system also has a role in digestion, producing bile to break down fats.

🌿As the body’s primary detox organ, the liver works through complex pathways to process toxins. When these pathways are overloaded or under-supported due to nutritional deficiencies, the body may start to express this elsewhere, often through the skin, with symptoms like rashes, eczema, or breakouts.

😠Emotionally, the Liver is closely linked with anger and frustration. When energy isn’t flowing smoothly, these emotions can build more easily, sometimes showing up as irritability, rigid perspectives, tension, or a sense of being stuck. This can show up physically in the body as well as emotionally, for example in joints.

This muscle show us ways to support the liver system.

🌿Through kinesiology, we can explore where these imbalances may be coming from and support the body in restoring flow, whether that’s through nutrition, lifestyle, or emotional work.🌿

Have you noticed any of these patterns in yourself recently? If any of this resonates, it may be your body highlighting where it needs a little more support right now.

🌿 CLIENT FEEDBACK 🌿

Over several sessions, we’ve worked through the layers contributing to this client’s digestive symptoms. 💫 So pleased that this lovely client is enjoying the rewards of her commitment to regular sessions and following recommendations. 💫

Initially, she came to me feeling foods were an issue and uncertain about which ones were triggering her symptoms. She had been experimenting on her own to try and identify the cause. Rather than focusing solely on elimination, we took a broader, more holistic approach.

🌿Together, we addressed key stressors and worked on balancing her systems physically, emotionally, electrically, and biochemically. Through this process, it became clear that her gut required foundational support.

🌿 While certain foods did appear to trigger symptoms at times, they were not really the root cause. By focusing on restoring optimal gut health, including finding key temporary supplements to bring it back to balance, we were able to reduce much of the guesswork.

🌿As her microbiome rebalanced and gut function improved, her digestive symptoms have significantly reduced, and she no longer has to constantly question or restrict lots of foods. As she shared:

“Taking the ********* has really helped. It’s got to the stage now where it feels normal not to have that gas and bloating. All in all, I’m feeling in a really good place now, thanks to your wonderful knowledge and know-how.”

* supplements used not shared, as everyone is so individual and works for one does not always work for others.

Do you experience any of the things my clients were supported with in March?

Your body is always communicating … are you listening?

Kinesiology is a gentle yet powerful way to reconnect and hear what your body is telling you.

Through muscle testing, we tap into your body’s own feedback system, helping to uncover where stress may be held, identify imbalances, and understand what’s needed to restore balance.

In a session, we:
✨ explore how your body is expressing stress
✨ identify where your energy may need rebalancing
✨ uncover what your body is asking for to support your wellbeing on a biochemical, emotional, energetic or physical level

Over the past few months, I’ve been working closely with a small group through monthly case study sessions as part of the final stage of my training (with my final exam coming up next month! Eeeek!).

This month will be their final case study session, and so far they’ve already experienced:
✨ greater clarity and understanding, emotionally and around the layers behind their symptoms
✨ feeling calmer, more resilient, and more connected to themselves
✨ improvements in symptoms
✨ a deeper trust in their body and its natural intelligence

Every session is unique and centred entirely around you.

🗓️ I have just 2 dates remaining for appointments in April (28th & 30th), and May bookings are now open.

Hayfever season may be arriving but Kinesiology can help 💐 🤧 🌳

As we enter hayfever season, here are 5 tips to help you manage seasonal allergies naturally:

🍯Source some local honey and take a spoonful a day in the couple of months leading up to and during your usual hay fever period

🌿Try drinking nettle tea - it’s one of nature’s natural antihistamines and can help to relieve symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose

💫Boost your immune system with supplements such as magnesium, quercetin, turmeric, vitamins A, C, D & E, NAC and probiotics and/or the homeopathic remedy, A.Vogel Pollinosan…
..even better, instead of guessing what your body needs, go and see your local kinesiologist so they can muscle test you and find out EXACTLY which of these you'll benefit from!

🥛Reduce your intake of dairy to reduce mucous production which will make symptoms worse

🧄Up your intake of garlic - it’s best eaten raw and is a natural anti-inflammatory and antihistamine. If you can’t stomach that, try taking garlic tablets. Not only will it boost your immune system, it also acts as a natural decongestant and can help to relieve symptoms.

✨What if our approach to wellbeing recognised that we are energetic beings AS WELL as biochemical ones? ✨

🧩 What if our approach to wellbeing recognised patterns and listened to the bigger picture? 🧩

Lately I’ve been working with a few clients experiencing low iron.

Of course, with these sorts of things, the physical and biochemical layers are important. Blood tests and medical guidance all matter.

Kinesiology can complement this by exploring the layers beneath that may be part of the bigger picture.

When working with these clients, we looked at nutrition, digestive health and absorption.

But we also looked beyond the obvious physiological factors. 💫

One case led us to explore the liver system, which plays an important role in storing iron (ferritin). Beyond the nutritional support, an emotional theme began to surface around feeling invisible, expression and the need to speak, to be heard, and to feel acknowledged.
Their mind was busy but their body felt fatigued and ungrounded.

Our wellbeing is not one dimensional.

So the question became… what might the body be communicating?

Iron is deeply linked to strength, fortitude and vitality. When it’s low, people often describe feeling exhausted, flat, or depleted. Some even say they feel ‘stuck in their heads’, ungrounded or disconnected from life. Energetically, we can find a need for grounding, stillness, ceasing over giving and over doing without replenishment, boundaries and personal power.

What if, alongside physiological support, symptoms are invitations to look at the wider landscape of our lives … how we give our energy, how we receive support, and how nourished we truly feel?

This is where kinesiology, as a complementary approach, can offer something uniquely valuable. Sessions create space to explore the connection between mind, body and the impact of stress on our systems.

This is where we return to balance.

What if the body speaks in more ways than we’ve been taught to understand?

Because the question isn’t only what the body is lacking…
but what it may be trying to express.
