One of my favourite expressions is ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ 😂
You definitely didn’t gain weight in a day, a week, a month or probably even a year. For most people it’s been gradually over the years, although of course there are exceptions to that with pregnancy and menopause. But my point is that you can’t expect to lose that weight overnight.
True our plan can have amazing results, I have seen clients lose a stone in 3 weeks, but for most people it’s slow, steady losses week by week.
Don’t underestimate the power of small changes either, you don’t have to suddenly totally change your diet and start exercising every day! Your body would probably go in to shock and hold on to the weight anyway, but small changes can have a big impact!
The most important thing is to stay consistent and not to give up. The majority of people fail because they give up too soon.
Don’t be hard on yourself if you have a bad day, start again the next day. Anybody who has been successful will tell you, they had a lot of failures along the way.
As Edison said “I have not failed, but have found 1000 ways to not make a lightbulb “
