Healing from trauma (the result of one or more traumatic events and/or from living in a prolonged period of stress) doesn't happen overnight. It's taken weeks/months/years to end up in fight, flight or freeze. It may take just as long for your nervous system to feel like the calm, safety state is normal.

Don't give up.

One trauma release session, one meditation, one yoga class, one massage isn't going to heal your nervous system.

Yes, it will help.

But time, and a consistent practice of self care and doing the tools that I teach are what will really work.

Trauma Release sessions are a way of bringing your nervous system back into the calm, safety state from fight/flight/freeze. We will use tools to soothe the vagus nerve by focusing on the breath, softening the eyes and relaxing the jaw, but we also lean into emotion.

Emotions are not ignored. They are encouraged.

When you're ready. There's no rush ♥️

I struggle with the thought of going outside, even into my garden because it's so overlooked, so I end up 'trapped' inside my house. I'm not agoraphobic and I love being out in nature but there is something about being in a box that feels safe.

Trauma Release and TR boxing is giving me so much courage to be myself, to be seen and to step out of the box.

One step at a time, I will beat my intrusive thoughts and spend more time outside!

Perhaps there's a group that exists where people meet up in nature in my area? If not, maybe I'll start one! 🌱
