“I just don’t have time to exercise.”
Fair enough.
But sometimes what that really means is:
“I don’t have time to exercise the way I think I’m supposed to.”
Because somewhere along the line, fitness got sold as:
✅60-minute workouts.
✅ 5 days a week.
✅ 10,000 steps every day.
✅ Meal prep on Sunday.
✅ Perfect sleep.
✅ Perfect food.
✅ Perfect routine.
And if you can’t do all of that?
You feel like you’re failing.
You’re not.
You probably just need a plan that fits your actual life.
For some people, that might mean:
✔️ 2 decent strength sessions a week.
✔️ A bit more walking.
✔️ Some sensible food choices.
✔️ And making the most of the time you do have.
That can be enough to make real progress. You don’t need to train for hours. You need to stop wasting the limited time you’ve got on things that don’t move you forward.
Because the best plan isn’t the one that looks impressive on paper.
It’s the one you can still do when life is busy.
So maybe the question isn’t:
“Do I have time to exercise?” Maybe it’s:
“What’s the best use of the time I actually have?
