When I was 35, I had the best body composition of my life.

People would compliment me all the time… and my answer was ALWAYS: “Yeah, but I still need to lose 3kg.” “Yeah, but my glutes still need improving.” “Yeah, but…”

There was always a “but”.

I can see now that this is something we actually need to train in the mind.

Because so many of us automatically focus on what is missing instead of what is already beautiful, alive and worthy inside us.

Looking back, I wish I had answered differently.

I wish I had said: “Thank you.” And maybe: “You also have shining eyes.” “You also have a beautiful smile.”

There is ALWAYS something beautiful to notice. In you. In others. In life.
