I was at the orthopaedic department today observing knee surgeries.

✅ Total knee replacement x2

✅ Meniscus repair

✅ ACL reconstruction

Seeing surgery firsthand gives you a completely different perspective, not just of the operation itself, but of the whole patient journey. Watching the surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre team work together really highlights how much goes into achieving the best outcome for every patient.

As someone who’s passionate about rehabilitation, understanding what happens before, during and after surgery will only help me support my own patients better in the future.
