Meet one of my beautiful target members Jo! Jo had been a target member with me for years! Well over 5! And then recently she decided to lose a bit more for her daughter’s wedding! Now 5.5 stone down how amazing does she look!! Trying to get a before picture from Jo was not easy cos she never liked having her photo taken!
Jo is an absolute rock in my group she inspires so many members and give so many ideas! She’s simply amazing! Support in group isn’t just from me it’s from others too.. please do come along to group if you want to not be afraid of photos anymore just like Jo!

A couple of weeks ago we had a woman of the year competition! Woman of the year isn’t just about weight loss it’s about who the group thing are amazing! They help and support other members and inspire others to achieve their dreams!

Last night we crowned our top target members and diamond members of the year! A diamond member is a member who has maintained target for a year or more! We loved listening to all of the target members and how they had maintained target for years including one who’d maintained for 9 years! Proving that slimming world works and you can keep the weight off forever!

It’s Learning Disability Week, and I want everyone to know that my Slimming World group is a welcoming, supportive and inclusive place for all.

Alongside being a Slimming World Consultant, I also work supporting people with autism and learning disabilities, so I understand that everyone learns and processes information differently. I have successfully supported many members with autism and learning disabilities to achieve their weight loss goals in a way that works for them.

Slimming World also provides an Easy Read guide, making the plan more accessible and easier to follow.

As well as supporting healthy weight loss, attending a community group can help reduce isolation, build confidence, create friendships and provide a sense of belonging. People with learning disabilities don’t need a separate group to be successful – they are very welcome as valued members of our Slimming World community.

If you, a family member, or someone you support would like to find out more, please feel free to get in touch. Everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing in a supportive, understanding environment. 💙
