If the client uses the gym for instance, they may produce more hormones which could result in needing up to 10 treatments. There are three stages of hair growth, we only treat on the anagen growth phase when the hair has a blood supply to it. Treatments will be done every 6-8 weeks. You must ensure that your skin has not had intense sun exposure before treatment. You must not pluck, epilate or wax the area to be treated for 30 days before treatment. Laser hair removal can cause changes in the pigments of ink used in tattoos and can cause lightening or darkening of the tattoo. You must shave the area before treatment. Contraindicative medical conditions are;
Active or chronic herpes simplex viral infections, hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation, psoriasis, bleeding disorders, vitiligo, severe histamine reactions, sunburnt or had surgeries such as laser resurfacing or chemical peels. Contraindicative medications are;
Isotretinoin (Accutane) should be stopped 6 months before laser hair removal, photosensitive medicines, steroids, antibiotics and analgesics, and blood thinning medicines such as warfarin and asprin. A consultation/assessment will be carried out taking approximately 30 minutes, including a patch test if needed 48 hours before treatment. TATTOO FADING:
Dark/Colour tattoos from the smallest area £20 upwards. Large 12 x 10cm £40 per session and so on. Coloured tattoos may take longer to fade. You must leave 4-6 weeks between treatments for the bodies lymphatic system to clear the broken down ink pigment out of the body. A numbing cream can be applied before each treatment for your comfort. An ice pack may be used after treatment to cool the area. Not suitable for pregnant women or customers suffering from the following medical conditions; Diabetes, heart conditions, cancer, skin pigmentation disorder, high blood pressure, HIV, blood disorders, hypersensitivity to light, lupus. If you are in any doubt about a condition you have then please seek independent medical advice before embarking on invasive surgery. If the area of your tattoo is injured, inflamed or sunburnt you must delay treatment until the skin has healed and recovered completely. If you have weeping acne, undiagnosed lesions, warts or rosacea in the area you should not have treatment on the affected area. If you have a history of keloid scarring, hyperpigmentation (increase in melanin) or hypopigmentation (decrease in melanin) you may not be able to have tattoo fading. Unprotected sun exposure or use of sunbeds within 4 weeks of the treatment may mean you have to delay your treatment. Also you should not use tanning creams, lotions or sprays within 4 weeks prior to treatment as this could affect the outcome. medicines contraindicated to tattoo fading are; anticoagulants, isotretinoin (accutane) should be stopped 6 months before treatment, photosensitising medicines,steroids, antibiotics, blood thinning medicine such as warfarin and asprin, and analgesics. A thorough assessment/consultation will be carried out before any treatment is undertaken. A patch test may be needed 48 hours before the first treatment.
