for the whørë archetype, the word eventually became much bigger than its original meaning. it became a tool for policing female s3xuałity: a woman could be labelled for being perceived as too s3xual, too desirous, too autonomous or unavailable to male control.
so reclaiming the word in an archetypal sense can be understood as taking a word historically used to shame female s3xuality and asking:
what happens when she no longer experiences her s3xuałity as something shameful?
it’s about agency.
being able to say yes because you genuinely want to. being able to say no without shame. being sensual without needing to perform. being desired without making desire the measure of your worth.
it’s about becoming more sovereign in your relationship with desire.
