Here is the reason of my absence ✌🏻I was busy working on this special order from „Narcos” fan. It is special for me because for the first time I had an opportunity to paint something else than realistic portrait and also this is the biggest artwork I ever made 💪🏻 size of the canvas is approx 60 x 90 cm (24 x 36 inch)! And it’s oil technique of course. That is why it took so much time 🙂 please tell me what do you think 👩🏻‍🎨

A oto powód mojej dłuższej nieobecności 😜 pracowałam nad specjalnym zamówieniem dla fana serialu „Narcos”. A specjalnym nazwałam je dlatego, że po raz pierwszy miałam okazję namalować coś w rodzaju plakatu filmowego, coś, co odbiega od stylu, który zwykle w swoich pracach stosuję. Po drugie jest to do tej pory największa praca jaką wykonałam techniką olejną, bo płótno ma aż 60 x 90 cm 😉 zajęło mi to trochę czasu, ale efekt mnie zadowala 😆 dajcie znać co myślicie 🤘🏻

I showed you my best portrait so now it’s time for the ugly one 😜 I really don’t like how it looks after drying process... 👎🏻 I decided to show it because every unsuccesful work is a lesson for me and also wanted to show you how to easily waste a few hours of your life 😀. This time I’ve learned how not to paint eyebrows xD

Pokazałam moją najbardziej udaną jak do tej pory pracę, teraz czas na potworka 😜 po wyschnięciu wygląda koszmarnie i wiele rzeczy mi się tu nie podoba. Postanowiłam udostępnić ten portret dlatego, że nikt nie jest idealny, wszyscy się uczymy i chcę żeby każdy wiedział jak łatwo spieprzyć kilkanaście godzin pracy xD tym razem nauczyłam się jak NIE malować brwi.

How many colors do you need to paint a portrait? 🤔 Or anything else? Only five. I use Winsor & Newton paints - cadmium yellow, cadmium red, french ultramarine, burnt umber and titanium white. This is the most basic set of colors in oil painting. Of course you can use all other available tones but I think it’s a waste of money. Those five colors give so many possibilities, I can paint almost everything. It’s not easy, I spent a lot of time working with colors, learning how to combine them to get the desired efect and I still have problems with dark skintones 🤭

Ilu kolorów farb potrzeba, aby namalować portret? Lub cokolwiek innego? 🤔 Tylko pięciu! Ja używam farb olejnych marki Winsor & Newton (swoją drogą bardzo fajnych), w następujących kolorach: kadmowa żółcień, kadmowa czerwień, francuska ultramaryna, umbra palona i tytanowa biel. Jest to najbardziej podstawowy zestaw barw, jestesmy w stanie uzyskać zdecydowaną większość odcieni z powyższych pięciu. Nie jest to takie proste, troche mi zajęło rozgryzienie co do czego, żeby wyszło coś zdatnego do malowania 😀
