People often ask what I’m thinking during an assessment…

Truthfully?

Rarely just, “Where does it hurt?”

I’m thinking about why it hurts.

💭 Is the shoulder actually the problem, or is something else driving it?

💭 Why does it only hurt at night?

💭 What movements are making your body compensate?

💭 What have you already tried?

💭 What’s the smallest change that could make the biggest difference?

Every person who walks through my door has a different story, which means every treatment plan should be different too.

No two bodies move the same.
No two injuries recover the same.

That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all rehabilitation.

My job isn’t just to treat pain it’s to understand why it’s there in the first place. 🤍

If you’re struggling with pain, an injury, or you’re not sure where to start, I’d love to help.

These are the things I think… but don’t always say. 💜

Every day I meet people who are worried they’re wasting my time.

Who apologise because they don’t know what’s wrong.

Who think they should’ve “left it longer” or “just got on with it.”

And honestly?

I wish you knew what I was thinking.

💭 You’re not wasting my time.
💭 You don’t need all the answers.
💭 You don’t have to explain everything perfectly.
💭 Pain can be confusing—that’s why you’re here.
💭 We’ll work through it together.

One of the best parts of my job is helping people make sense of what’s going on with their body.

You don’t need to know anatomy.
You don’t need a diagnosis.
You don’t need to have Googled your symptoms for three hours before your appointment. (In fact… sometimes it’s better if you haven’t! 😂)

You just need to come as you are.

We’ll have a chat, I’ll listen, we’ll assess what’s going on, and together we’ll make a plan that gets you back to doing the things you love.

So if you’ve been putting off booking because you thought…

“I don’t really know how to explain it.”

“It’s probably nothing.”

“I’m just wasting their time.”

Please don’t.

I’d much rather see you early than have you struggle on your own.

💜 That’s what I’m here for.

One thing I’ll never ask my patients to do is something I don’t believe in myself.

Rehab isn’t always exciting.
Consistency isn’t glamorous.
Progress isn’t always linear.

But every little win matters.

This was my first sub 30 5k since tearing my hamstring in march 😅. Tomorrow yours might be climbing the stairs without pain, picking your child up comfortably, or finally getting back to the gym.

We’ll celebrate them all. 🤍

One of the things I hear all the time is…

“I’m sorry, I don’t really know how to explain it.”

Or…

“I don’t know if I’m describing it properly.”

Please don’t worry.

I don’t expect you to know anatomy, medical terminology or exactly what’s causing your pain. In fact, I don’t expect you to know any of those things at all.

You don’t need to come to your appointment with a diagnosis or spend hours Googling your symptoms before you walk through the door.

You just need to tell me your story.

Tell me what you’ve noticed.
Tell me what you can and can’t do.
Tell me what’s worrying you.
Tell me what you want to get back to.

The rest? We’ll work through it together.

My job isn’t just to treat pain—it’s to listen, assess, explain what’s going on and help you make sense of it all.

So if you’ve ever put off booking because you thought “I won’t know what to say,” or “I don’t know enough,” please don’t let that stop you.

That’s exactly what I’m here for. 💜

POV: You spend all day helping people with injuries… then it’s your own knee. 😂

Last night’s thoughts went something like this…

❄️ Ice or heat?

🩹 Tape or brace?

💪 Strengthen or stretch?

🏃‍♀️ Is it too soon to rehab?

🤔 Is this actually where the problem is… or is my knee just taking the blame?

😅 Will it magically be fine when I wake up?

The truth is, even as an osteopath, I don’t jump straight into treating an injury. I don’t just pick an exercise, throw some tape on it and hope for the best.

I assess it.

What’s actually happened?
What’s driving the pain?
What structures are involved?
What does it need right now?

That’s exactly what happens when you come to see me.

Every injury has a story, and the answer isn’t always as obvious as it first seems.

(For anyone wondering… yes, Annie slept through all of this overthinking. 😂🐶)

I promise… I’m not just being nosey. 😂👀

If you’ve ever been to see me, you’ve probably heard at least one (or all!) of these…

“Can you point to exactly where it hurts?”
“Does that feel familiar?”
“Show me what you mean.”
“Let’s have a look.”
“Do you remember what you were doing when it started?”

I know it can feel like I’m asking a lot of questions before we’ve even started treatment, but every answer helps me build a picture of what’s really going on.

Pain isn’t always as straightforward as it seems, and where it hurts isn’t always where the problem started. That’s why your story matters just as much as the assessment.

The more I understand about you, your symptoms and your goals, the better I can tailor your treatment and get you back to doing the things you love.

So next time you come in and think, “Here she goes with all the questions…” 🤣 …now you know why.

💜 Every body has a story. My job is to help piece it together.

✨ Wondering what an appointment with me actually looks like? 👀

I thought I’d give you a little glimpse behind the scenes…

One of the questions I’m asked most is, “What actually happens during an appointment?” and the answer is… every appointment is different, because every person who walks through the door is different.

No two sessions are ever the same, but this video gives you an idea of what you can expect.

We’ll always start with a chat. I want to know what’s been going on, how it’s affecting your day-to-day life, what you’ve already tried, and—most importantly—what you want to get back to doing.

From there, I’ll carry out an assessment to understand how your body is moving and identify what may be contributing to your symptoms. I’ll always explain what I’m finding as we go because I think it’s really important that you understand your body and leave feeling informed, not confused.

From there, we’ll make a plan together. That may include rehabilitation exercises, advice, education, movement strategies an hands-on treatment.i haven’t shown any hands on treatment in this video but there will be small clips getting shared soon.

For me, treatment has never been about just chasing pain. It’s about understanding why you’re in pain, helping you move with confidence again and getting you back to doing the things that matter to you.

Whether that’s…
🏃 Running your first 5K
🐴 Getting back in the saddle
🏋️ Returning to the gym
🐶 Walking the dog comfortably
👶 Picking up your children without worrying about your back
💼 Or simply getting through a day’s work without pain…

…your goals become my goals.

Thank you to everyone who’s trusted me with their care recently. It’s been a busy few months, and I genuinely appreciate every single person who’s walked through my clinic door. 💜

If you’ve been thinking about booking an appointment but weren’t quite sure what to expect, I hope this gives you a little insight into how I work.

Hi, I’m Jaime! 👋💜

If you’re new here (or you’ve been following for a while but don’t really know who I am), I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself.

I’m the face behind Restore Me Health, a registered osteopath and student physiotherapist with a passion for helping people move better, feel stronger and get back to doing the things they love.

When I’m not in clinic, you’ll usually find me…
🏃‍♀️ Out running.
🐴 At the yard with my horses.
🐶 Walking Annie (who definitely thinks she’s the boss).
📚 Studying… because apparently one healthcare degree wasn’t enough! 😂

One of the things I love most about my job is that no two days are ever the same. Every person who walks through my clinic door has a different story, different goals and different challenges, and being part of that journey is something I never take for granted.

Whether you’re dealing with a new injury, aches and pains you’ve been putting up with for years, or you’re simply looking to move with more confidence, my aim is always the same, to listen, understand what’s going on and work with you to find the best way forward.

Restore Me Health isn’t just about treating pain. It’s about helping you get back to living the life you want to live.

So… welcome to my little clinic. 💜

This week I’ve done something I don’t do very often… I’ve actually taken some time off. ☀️🐶

I’ve been exploring, spending time with the dog, soaking up some sunshine and reminding myself that switching off every now and then is just as important as working hard.

But one thing I couldn’t resist was lacing up my trainers for my longest run yet.

Every day I’m encouraging my patients to keep going. Keep doing the exercises. Keep showing up. Trust the process, even when progress feels slow.

So it only feels right that I hold myself to the same standard.

Today’s run wasn’t about being the fastest. It was about proving to myself that consistency really does pay off. A few months ago, this distance would’ve felt impossible. Today, I actually enjoyed it!

Whether you’re working through a rehab plan, getting back to exercise after an injury, or chasing a completely different goal, remember this…

✨ Keep going.

The little things you do today become the big wins you celebrate tomorrow.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to enjoy the rest of my week pretending I’m on holiday… before reality (and clinic!) calls. 😂💜🏃‍♀️

If it keeps coming back…
it was never fully resolved 👀

Short-term relief isn’t the same as long-term change.

You might feel better for a few days or weeks, but if the underlying cause hasn’t been addressed it’s only a matter of time before it returns.

That could be:
• Movement patterns
• Strength imbalances
• Lifestyle factors
• Load your body isn’t prepared for

Real progress comes from understanding why it started in the first place not just chasing symptoms.

Because quick fixes don’t last… but the right approach does 🤍
