In light of the current economic climate and cost of living crisis, we have put together a helpful blog post which may be a good source of information for those currently worrying about their daily and monthly circustances.

For those of us who are going through periods of stress, anxiety and generally struggling making ends meet it maybe comforting to know that you are not alone and that the majority of us are going through the same worries and processing daily life in exaclty the same way.

Thinking back to our first fundraiser back in December 22 with a huge smile on our face 😞

We had a fab night and the guest DJ's made it something very special indeed. Thanks to and more !

Thinking about our next one which city should we go to ? Manchester ? Can't wait to put something together for all our supporters! It will be great to see you all on the dancefloor again soon!

We wanted to give a huge shout out to some good friends of ours & These two have been putting their heads together to create something truly special for those who are on a sober and sober curious journey.

We have been to some of their events recently and have spoken at lengths with both brands as they have been planning their recent run of parties.

We are looking forward to seing what else these two bring out for us in the future and for those who haven't been to a event yet they will be hosting their next one on the 27th May at

Some great work being done here guys keep it up and keep us posted on the future!

Sorry we have been away! As with most of us it's been a tough couple of months to start the year. We have been inundated with people needing help and direction as this cost of living crisis applies even more pressure to an already fragile mindset in most households. We had to take a break from our socials in order to process and balance our volunteer work with our working resonsibilities.

However, we are happy to say that those who really needed the help are now in a better place and continuing to work towards stregthening their resolve. It seems fitting that we are back on our socials with the welcoming of spring! Those lighter evenings, warmer days and new life all around us gives us something much needed in times of stress and hardship.

We just wanted to say we hope you're all having a great week and looking forward to a lovely and bright weekend ahead.

After such a successful year of growth and development we wanted to start the new year by redefining how Drop the Ego can help.

We started off life as an awareness brand travelling and attending events with a connection to the music and events industry. These events were used to spread awareness & importance of talking and discussing any concerns people are dealing with.

Following the amount of support and interest we had we quickly realised that as a brand we had a responsibility to offer more and assist those who expressed an interest in speaking out.

This led to us establishing as a non for profit foundation, we established links with local clinics so we could offer referrals and fund treatments for those who had fallen on hard times, we recruited volunteer counsellors, took accredited training courses to assess and refer, hosted podcasts, seminars, networking events and hosted a fundraiser; the first of which the North West has seen.

We are now on track to secure more funding and support throughout the year, allowing us to expand further & speak to and treat even more people in need of a conversation.

This growth and development was only possible thanks to the support from our amazing network of ambassadors, venus and supporters. Without which we simply could not help the way we do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR from all our amazing team!

We are wishing all of our clients, friends, partners and ambassadors all the best for 2023. Let's hope that we can all continue to improve in ourselves, our goals, our stresses, our relationships and our dreams through the next 12 months.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our clinics, volunteer counsellors and support workers who have helped and worked with us the past year. It's been a very busy one with the main focus on growing DTE as a brand giving it more authenticity and the ability to help and treat more people who need it.

We would like to say how proud and grateful we are for all the people who reached out to us to talk, or for help and assistance. We have listened to countless stories and know how hard this first step is, so to see how some of our DTE family have developed and opened up in the past 6 months is truly awe inspiring. We hope you can all continue to move forwards with this growth into 2023 knowing that we are always here to support you when its needed.

DTE will be hosting, workshops, seminars, sponsored talks, Q&A's with qualified industry specialists and of course continuing to develop our counselling and clinic referral program this year so keep an eye out for these informative events and come connect with us.

wav is a relatively fresh face on the music scene but one you may already recognise. Ryan made a name for himself at Creamfields, when he arranged for the ashes of an EDM fanatic who tragically lost his life to su***de, to be fired out of Tiesos confetti cannon, and the resulting global media coverage and awareness campaign that followed. A very touching and poignant tribute to another soul lost too soon.

Originally plying his trade orchestrating the world class lighting system in iconic Liverpool nightclub Wav, he has supported some of the worlds top DJs including Green Velvet, MK and Solardo, and in the process built up an extensive network of friends and connections in the industry.

Fast forward to today and Ryan is a much more prominent figure, being both owner of .of.the.lights_ talent management which boasts a portfolio of some of liverpools most exciting artists, and Co-Director of .underground events, a hugely popular PR & Events firm.

Ryan met the team from Drop the Ego way back when the foundation was nothing more than an idea. Having watched the team and the brand grow he could not wait to get involved. As an avid mental health advocate, especially for men and artists within the industry he is the most active volunteer the foundation has had to date.

The team at Drop the Ego could not be more proud to have someone with the heart, dedication, honesty, beliefs and work ethic such as Ryan being a part of our good work.

Watch out for this gent in 2023, he is currently enrolling himself in counselling course and mental health awareness training to ensure he is able to offer a more supporting role moving forwards.

We can't wait to see what 2023 will bring and look forward to welcoming Ryan to our board of trustees when we host our next board meeting.
