Jonathan Thomas was voyed by other members in his group for being such a lovely inspirational person hes taken each step of his journey with determination. He came with his friend and now comes with 3 more his positivity is infectious 💕

I'd say the best thing is that it's made me a bit more confident, SW has helped me speak infront of people where I would normally be shy. This is something I have never been able to do. The first day I walked in I didn't really speak to anyone now everyone is my friend.
They are all kind and interested in me and my journey. I have won slimer of the week several times and appreciate the gesture of all the lovely things people bring in so i bring in special treats for everyone to share in group at the minute I bring in some packs of the Iceland Foods pancakes for the other members to try its my way of paying back the kindness I have received in group.

I've lost 4 stone and 13 pounds, I'm 1 pound off the 5 stone, and I'm 1.5 pounds off of target.

To somebody new who's joining SW - I say welcome, it's a bunch of lovely people who'll support you no matter the circumstances and being able to absorb the information and support is more than worth the money -- it's life-changing.

Monday Newall Green Baptist church 7pm members voted Christopher Ellis as their MAN OF THE YEAR 🥰

members shared that Chris always has great meal ideas 💡 brings great things when we have a taster session including his airfryer 🤣

He's a real character to our group helps with pay and raffle and brings more than his fair share of laughs to the group 🤩

Well done Chris 👏 just shows Slimming World isnt just for woman.

A great honour to award Man of the year 2026 ❤️

Man Of The Year 2026 -
A year ago, my wife and I decided it was time to tackle our ongoing battle with weight once again.
I'd been a member of Slimming World before, lost weight, left, and gradually put it all back on again – plus a bit more. Returning wasn't easy, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made.
Between January and July last year, I lost just over 3½ stone. Since then, the challenge hasn't been losing weight – it's been maintaining that loss. Day after day, week after week, making the right choices, staying accountable, and continuing the habits that helped me get there.
I still have weight I'd like to lose, but I've learned that lasting success isn't about rushing to a target. When my body and mind are ready for the next stage, I know I'm in the right place and have the confidence to achieve it.
None of this would have been possible without the support around me. A huge thank you to my wife Michele Bailey for starting this journey with me and for being there every step of the way. Thanks also to my wonderful Monday morning Slimming World group, whose friendship, encouragement and support have helped me more than they probably realise, and to our hard-working and inspirational consultant Vickki Goodwin who helps keep us all moving in the right direction.
As a man, I know some people can feel that groups like Slimming World aren't for them, but my experience has shown the opposite. Looking after your health isn't about being male or female – it's about taking that first step and finding the support that works for you.
I was genuinely touched to be voted Man of the Year by my fellow group members. That recognition means a great deal because it came from people who have shared the ups, downs, successes and struggles of the journey with me.
The battle continues, but so does the determination. 💙
