Caring for her mum through dementia and Parkinson’s left Dawn ( World Prestwich with Dawn) exhausted, anxious and eating whatever her mum ate — teacakes, toast, butter and all. After losing her mum and facing her own health worries, Dawn knew something had to change.

She’d tried every diet going… until she found Slimming World and realised she didn’t need to “diet” at all. Food Optimising meant real food, real fullness and real results.

Dawn went on to lose 3st 7lb, rebuild her confidence and find a brand‑new purpose. Becoming a consultant has changed her life — and now she’s helping others change theirs too.

She’s loved supporting members in Prestwich and is excited to relaunch the Whitefield group, especially helping people enjoy Shabbos and Yom Tov while still looking after themselves. And with her love of cooking, no one goes hungry in Dawn’s group.

Slimming World gave Dawn her spark back — now she’s passing it on.

“I’m doing everything right… why isn’t the scale moving?”

Sometimes you’re on plan, you’re measuring, you’re cooking, you’re trying… and the scales still don’t budge.
It’s frustrating. It’s disheartening. And it can make you question everything.But here’s the truth: your body isn’t a machine — it’s a system.

Hormones, stress, sleep, water, digestion, cycle, medication… they all play a part.

A slow week doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

A slow week doesn’t mean it’s not working.

A slow week doesn’t mean stop.

If anything, it means keep going — because your body is responding, even when the scales don’t show it yet.

11yo was asking when his next swimming lesson was, but said slimming instead.

Then we were talking about how he always used to think I went to 'swimming world' every week. 😂🥰

Then I lost the ability to say the right word in the right context, so he made this very helpful video guide for me! 😂😂
