The Breath Between Then and Now

Some seasons aren’t about action.

They’re about waiting.

Not the passive kind of waiting. The active kind. The kind where every part of you wants to reach, fix, chase, explain, or force an outcome, but something deeper asks you to simply stay present.

Breathwork has taught me that timing has its own intelligence.

The inhale arrives when the body is ready.
The exhale leaves when it’s time to let go.
Neither can be rushed without creating tension.

Nature works the same way.

Seeds don’t bloom because we pull at them.
The tide doesn’t turn because we demand it.
Some things unfold in their own time.

There have been moments in my life where waiting felt unbearable. Where patience felt more like grief. Where the heart knew exactly what it wanted, but the path wasn’t yet open.

And yet, breath after breath, life kept reminding me:

What’s meant for you doesn’t need to be forced.

Sometimes love means staying.
Sometimes healing means trusting.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is hold the door open and allow life to arrive when it’s ready.

If you’re in a season of waiting, breathe.

You are not stuck.

You are becoming.

🌿 Restore. Reconnect. Revive. Repeat.

5 Minute Berry & Seed Overnight Oats

Sometimes support starts with small things — slowing down, breathing deeply, and giving your body something nourishing.

✨ Oats
✨ Banana
✨ Blueberries / strawberries
✨ Chia seeds
✨ Flax seeds
✨ Oat milk
✨ Small drizzle of honey (optional)

Mix together before bed and leave overnight.

A simple breakfast with fibre, healthy fats and slow-release energy to help you start the day feeling a little more grounded.

Food isn’t a cure — but small choices repeated daily can become part of caring for ourselves.

🌱 Breathe. Nourish. Restore.

🌿 Thyroid-Friendly Aldi Dinner

Living with Graves has completely changed how I cook.

I don’t cook for trends.
I cook to stabilise my energy and regulate my nervous system.

Everything here is from Aldi. The salmon is the pre marinated lemon one.

🐟 Salmon
🌿 Spinach + kale
🥕 Carrot
🥜 Cashews
🧄 Fresh garlic
🥄 Greek yogurt
🌶 Tiny jalapeño jam

Simple. Affordable. Supportive.

How I Made It

1️⃣ Pan fry salmon until just cooked. Remove and rest.

2️⃣ In the same pan add chopped garlic + sliced carrot.
Cook 2–3 mins.

3️⃣ Add spinach + kale and let wilt.

4️⃣ Toss in chopped cashews and lightly toast.

5️⃣ Season. Plate. Add yogurt + tiny dot of jalapeño jam.

Ready in under 20 minutes.

With hyperthyroidism, my body can feel wired and overstimulated.
Even when I’m exhausted, my nervous system isn’t always calm.

Before I eat, I pause.

Three slow breaths:
Inhale through the nose for 4.
Exhale slowly for 6.

Longer exhales activate the parasympathetic nervous system —
the “rest and digest” state.

Because digestion isn’t just about food.
It’s about safety.

If we eat while stressed, the body doesn’t absorb nourishment as well.

So for me, healing looks like:
✔ Balanced meals
✔ Slow breaths
✔ Calming the system before I fuel it

Food feeds the body.
Breath tells the body it’s safe to receive it.

Affordable. Simple. Real.

We breathe in around 6–8 litres of air every minute — even when we’re not thinking about it.

Imagine the impact when we do slow it down, soften it, and breathe with care

A project close to our heart, we often supply and incur the cost of SIA guards and hospitality staff and run an alcohol free bar as we believe in this project so much
