The main culprit of messy dreads is loose, fly away hair which have come free from the dread. All good if you are happy with the messy look but if you want to go for the clean, neat and tidy look I can help you and send you away with the look you are going for. I use a dreading hook and push the crochet through the dread, snag some loose hair and pull it back into the dread. I repeat this over and

over again, slowly moving around the dread. The dread will become smoother and tighter. I would finish off with a palm roll which will help shape the dread. I can give you advice to take care of your own and maintain them. So if you would like to have your locks maintained get in touch. I DO NOT use wax, just a crochet hook and my hands.
