On the 19th May, I visited Barnabus once again to support their attendees with vital foot care.

Barnabus does incredible work supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Getting to be even a small part of that, doing what I do, feels like a real privilege.

πŸ‘£ Feet tell a story, and for people living without a stable shelter, that story is written in ways most of us never have to think about. Wet socks, wet shoes, day after day. The conditions that are created are painful and often go untreated for a long time.

Being able to help, even in a small way, is exactly why I got into this work.

I left feeling humbled, purposeful, and grateful for this wonderful community and the people in it πŸ’™

Giving back will always be a part of what Footrespect stands for. πŸ™‚

Moisturising your feet? Good. Keep doing it πŸ’™

Any moisturiser is better than none. If you're already doing it, you're already ahead of many people.

But here's something I learned more about recently at a brilliant skincare presentation.

Not all moisturisers are created equal. The ingredients in your formula make a real difference, especially when it comes to specific skin conditions like eczema, very dry skin, or cracked heels.

What works beautifully for one person's feet might not be the right fit for another's.

❔ So whilst I'll always encourage you to moisturise, it's also worth asking the question, is what you're using right for your skin?

It's something I'm happy to chat through at your next appointment. Sometimes a small tweak to your routine can make a surprisingly big difference πŸ™‚

If you've been using a moisturiser for a while, has it been making a difference?

Some of you have been coming to see me for years. Others just the once. I'm grateful for every patient πŸ’™

Thank you for booking, for coming back, for the kind reviews and lovely comments. For being great company in the clinic and for trusting me with your feet.

πŸ‘£ If you visit once a year or every six weeks, I don't take any of it for granted.

Most of you have become more than patients, and that's something I never expected when I started this, but something I'm so grateful for.

As the summer arrives, I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new ones before the holidays. Let's get your feet looking and feeling great πŸ™‚

This review made me smile for the rest of the day. πŸ’™

Sarah and her daughter came to see me after years of trying to get rid of verrucae. She'd tried everything, including shop-bought treatments and trying to have them frozen at the GP, but nothing worked.

After just one visit to my clinic, they were gone within 3 months.

I always say there's usually something we haven't tried yet. Sometimes it just takes the right plan and a bit of patience.

I'm so glad they found me when they did. Here's what Sarah had to say about her experience:

"Every time they came back and we'd almost given up hope...Ola listened, gave advice and a strict routine to follow. I can't recommend her enough. A total legend in the feet world."

If you're at that "nothing is working" stage with your feet, please don't give up. Get in touch and let's figure it out together.

Had a verruca for months...maybe even years? 🦢

The good news is that stubborn doesn't usually mean permanent.

I've worked with patients to clear verrucae in as little as six weeks, even persistent adult verrucae. I've seen all sorts of recovery variations over the years πŸ’™

Here's something worth knowing before you book with any foot health practitioner.

Professional registration matters βœ…

I'm registered with the Alliance of Private Sector Practitioners, which means I'm obliged to keep my knowledge and practice up to date as a professional requirement.

For you, that means every appointment is backed by current, evidence-based care, and a practitioner who takes her responsibility to you seriously πŸ’™

It's not something I shout about often, but it's something I think you deserve to know. Your feet are in safe hands. πŸ™‚

πŸ‘£ Last month, I spoke in front of a room of health professionals and spoke about feet.

I loved every minute of it.

I was invited to present at Oakfield Croft Care Home in Sale to the Collaborative Care Network Group, sharing some straightforward advice about foot care and why looking after your feet matters.

πŸ’ The best part wasn't even the presenting, it was the conversations and questions afterwards. Brainstorming with healthcare colleagues always sets off light bulb moments.

Getting out into the wonderful community and having those conversations in person is essential for my work and professional development πŸ’™

These kinds of events are now a regular part of my diary, and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Your feet carry you through every single day. So why are they the last thing we take care of?

🌍 It's , and this year's theme is "Together for Health. Stand with Science." So I did some research...

Did you know that around 1 in 5 people in the UK over 50 live with foot pain, and around 1 in 10 describe it as disabling.

That's a significant number of people living in pain, and yet many never visit a GP or foot health specialist to make it better.

But it's not just about the feet. Foot pain affects balance, mobility, independence, and quality of life. Left untreated, it quietly takes things away from you.

Today I want to remind everyone that your health matters, including taking care of your feet πŸ’™

If you're not sure where to start or have been putting off getting the help you need, feel free to get in touch. I'd love to help πŸ™‚

If you've watched my previous video, you've seen me talk about metatarsalgia.

Today, I want to get a little more personal.

πŸ‘£ Because I've been there, and I reached a point where the pain in my feet was affecting everything. I started worrying about what I'd even be able to do anymore, and pushing aside activities I loved.

If that sounds familiar, I want you to know that I understand it. Not just as a practitioner, but as a person who has lived it.

Which is exactly why I take metatarsalgia so seriously in my practice. There are things we can do that make a great difference to how you feel and what you can get back to doing πŸ’™

You shouldn't have to keep shrinking your life around the pain.
