Angela Clucas, Isle of Man based Nutritionist and owner of Next Level Nutrition holds a 1st class honours degree in Human Nutrition and a masters in Sport Nutrition at Liverpool John Moores University, a Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) accredited course which is administered by The British Dietetic Association. Angela is an ISAK (International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry) accredited anthropometric practitioner for body composition analysis. These measures enable calculation of body size, shape and composition, an excellent way for an athlete to assess the effectiveness of a training regime. Angela is also a UK accredited Anti-Doping adviser, able to offer advice regarding minimising risk from supplement use, checking medications, applying for a therapeutic use exemption and test procedures.

Some highlights. Not the full picture.

We had some great times away for Kev’s birthday in Liverpool (when a glass of mimosa accidentally was spilt all over him, he smelled orangey all day 😂 🍊)

We had very sad family news too 💔 not everything is for sharing on socials.

But every single day makes me grateful for the amazing friends, family & clients I have 🩷

Our health truly is our wealth and we can’t put a price on that.

May has also been a month of return to my own health & wellness focus. I’m dropping some body fat after peri meno has left me in a bit of a spin but I’ve got my HRT right now - thank you testosterone 💪🏼 my motivation & drive feels like it did in my early 30’s 🔥 it’s given me back my capacity to get s**t done and feel the fire in my belly again.

I’ve got lots coming for in 2026, if you follow the page, you know I’ve always got new ideas 💥 there are so many ways to help people and whilst my 1:1 will always be my favourite way to work with people, there will be group & course options coming again too alongside collaborations (catch me at .galpals.collective on Wednesday 17th June 2026 and working with in June & beyond too - message for details on how to attend either of those)

✨ Stop if this is you ✨

If you've ever stood in your kitchen at 9pm undoing a day you were so 'good' all the way through, this one's for you.

Let me guess... You run almost everything else in your life beautifully 👀 so when weight loss won't 'click', it's so frustrating.

Here's what's going on.

You've got two conflicting goals running at once.

One says lose the weight.

The other says have the wine and the chocolate, today was long, you earned it.

Both feel true 😬
..and when your brain is trying to hold two opposite things at once, it can't settle.

So you do a bit of both and end up with neither.

That's the stuck feeling.

You don't need more willpower or just to 'try harder'.

The fix is to stop running two opposing goals and build one you can actually keep, with the wine and the chocolate written in on purpose.

You can have anything, just not everything.

Once your plan works with that instead of fighting it, the 9pm undo stops and you make peace with yourself ❤️‍🩹

The best part of my job is when clients message me saying:
"things are clicking into place"…

"not anywhere as hard this time"…

"feels like a lifestyle change, not a diet"…

"happy with the balance, it doesn't feel like all or nothing."

How the heck do you know if a recipe you see online is any good for YOU?

Here’s my take… using AI 🤖

1. Screenshot the recipe you want to try
2. Upload it into chatGPT or Claude and use the prompt
3. Ask for the full macro breakdown
4. Assess if it’s good for your goals!

Some of the recipes I see online are HIGH calorie despite being ‘heathy’

When it comes to weight loss, your body doesn’t care if your excess calories are from avocados or candy floss 😂 it’s just more calories than you need.

🥑 Yes, of course avocados are more nutritious, containing unsaturated fats, definitely not just empty calories like candy floss.

🥘 but when it comes to planning your meals for the week, you need recipes that align with your calorie goals in Order for weight loss to happen.
