I’m going to explain this further by explaining the products used and how they differ to those used in a typical pedicure

Callus tonic.
This product erases the need for excessive filing and blading which can be detrimental to foot/skin health in the long term. The excessive friction caused by these tools can actually encourage growth of hard skin andu calluses as it can over stimulate the skin cells and, as a defence mechanism, harden the skin to protect against the next time this happens to them.

This alkaline peel system works by altering the ph level of the skin which softens it and breaks the protein bonds. The dead skin can then be GENTLY scraped away thus minimising the stimulation of more hard skin development.
A neutraliser is applied to take the skin back to a normal ph level.
