Dan’s Story: Low Tide, Sunrise, and Q***r Joy 🌅💖
In the middle of grief, Dan (known as Dita Garbo) found an unexpected moment of q***r joy.

At sunrise, beside the sea, a family being themselves became a reminder that hope can appear quietly - in love, in freedom, and in the lives we continue to build together.

Their reflection reminds us why LGBTQ+ joy matters - not only in moments of celebration, but also in moments when hope feels hardest to find.

We launched Hope Starts Here at Outernet London - what a moment! 💫
Our largest campaign yet, Hope Starts Here is a national celebration of LGBTQ+ lives, showing how hope lives in friendship, family, community, resilience and joy.

It wouldn't have been possible without the support of all of our partners, patrons, and supporters! These photos from our launch party showcase just some of the amazing people who have joined us on this journey.

Pride is so much more than a single month or parade. Pride is lived every day - in the people who stand beside us, the places where we feel safe, and the moments that help us feel at home in ourselves.

If you're in London, stop by Outernet and experience Hope Starts Here for yourself. Visit www.lgbt.foundation/hope-starts-here to read the stories and help spread LGBTQ+ hope and joy all year round. 💜

Launching today: Hope Starts Here 🌈🎉
It can feel like we’re more divided than ever - but what connects us is stronger.

From June 2026, Hope Starts Here will celebrate q***r joy, connection, and affirmation - in the everyday moments that matter most. 💜

A couple reuniting at a train station.
Being respected after a great night out.
Smiling when you think about that special person.

These moments aren’t staged. They’re real. And we're sharing them nationwide.
Because we believe that a better tomorrow for LGBTQ+ people begins today.

Join the movement - visit www.lgbt.foundation/hope-starts-here to see how everyday hope is making a difference ✨

We’re in the middle of Volunteers’ Week - and one week away from LGBT Foundation’s annual Volunteer Awards (affectionately known as “The Vollies”).

While the awards are our moment to celebrate, it’s so important to recognise that our 200+ volunteers are the heartbeat of LGBT Foundation - people who give their time, energy and care to support others, whether they’re part of the LGBTQ+ community themselves or allies wanting to make a difference.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now’s the moment - join us to create a kinder, more connected community. Get started today: www.lgbt.foundation/volunteer-with-us
