It's Feedback Friday YEAH!!!

Our Screeners will be so happy to receive there feedback and we have highlighted 3 of them...the Team Leaders will share these and all the others for this week with the staff at the end of the month but it really does make the screeners day if they are featured in our weekly feedback...who doesnt like being told they are doing a good job by the people they are providing a service for?

KEEP THEM COMING 🫶🤩😍Including when we get it wrong and we will try our best to put it right where we can

Men’s Health Week is a great time to learn more about cancers that only affect men 💙

Some cancers specifically affect men, including prostate, testicular and pe**le cancer. These cancers develop in parts of the male reproductive system and can affect people at different stages of life 👨‍⚕️

For example:
• Prostate cancer starts in the prostate gland and is the most common cancer in men in the UK
• Testicular cancer often affects younger men and may present as a lump or swelling
• Pe**le cancer is rare but can develop on or under the fo****in

Treatments can vary depending on the type and stage of cancer, but may include surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, with support available throughout 💙

It’s important to know your body and speak to a healthcare professional if something doesn’t feel right. Early detection can make a big difference 👍

This message is inclusive of trans women and non-binary people (assigned male at birth), who can also be affected by these cancers and should feel supported to seek advice 💙

Well we have May's feedback figures 927 people completed our patient survey THANK YOU!!!! over 900 of those had Very Good or Good feedback which is amazing and guess what we are on it for making improvements where we can, so look out for our post when we have implemented those improvements. A huge thank you to all our Screeners who daily look after our patients and make sure the patient experience is a good one...we aren'🤩🫶😍t perfect but we keep striving to be our best

This week marks Loneliness Awareness Week, led by the Marmalade Trust, which aims to get people talking about loneliness and help give loneliness a voice.

Loneliness can affect anyone, but for people living with sight loss and those experiencing Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS), it can bring additional challenges. Feeling isolated can increase stress and anxiety, which may make CBS hallucinations more frequent or more distressing.

Talking openly about loneliness is an important first step. Whether it's speaking with family, friends, a support group or a trusted professional, staying connected can make a real difference.

Throughout the week, we'll be sharing information, advice and support to help start conversations about loneliness and its impact on people living with CBS.

Promoting Men's Health, Raising Awareness for All 💙

Yesterday, we were happy to raise awareness about the importance of the NHS Diabetic Eye Screening Programme at the Be Well Men's Health & Wellbeing Event. Regular screening is offered to people living with diabetes aged 12 and over and plays a vital role in detecting changes early, helping to protect sight and prevent vision loss.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and engaged in conversations about men's health and diabetes.

It's Diabetes Week and today we focus on all screenings in a lifetime with particular attention on diabetic eye screening which is a screening for all people living with diabetes aged 12+
