As we settle into September, we're continuing to visit communities across Greater Manchester, listening to local people and encouraging as many voices as possible to take part in our consultation on proposed changes to specialist cardiac (heart) surgery services.

Your local pharmacy can offer advice and treatment for a range of common conditions- and you may not need a GP appointment.

Pharmacy First can help with:

Earache (ages 1–17)
Impetigo (age 1+)
Infected insect bites (age 1+)
Shingles (age 18+)
Sinusitis (age 12+)
Sore throat (age 5+)
UTIs (women aged 16–64)
A pharmacist will assess you and provide advice, treatment or refer you to another healthcare professional if needed. If you're outside the age ranges, you can still speak to a pharmacist for advice.

What is vascular surgery, and why are we asking for your views?

Vascular surgery treats problems with the arteries and veins – the blood vessels that carry blood around your body. These services can improve circulation, prevent serious complications and, in many cases, save lives.

We’re asking people across Greater Manchester to share their views on proposed changes to specialist vascular surgery services before any decisions are made.

Whether you’ve used these services, supported a loved one, work in healthcare or simply care about local NHS services, we’d like to hear from you.
