𝗙𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿

Kate Engineer is a Bodyworker, Movement Teacher, and Family Constellations Practitioner. She's from both European and Indian heritage and is based in Manchester where I have a long-established practice.
She originally trained in Contemporary Dance at the Laban Centre and has had an extensive career working with the field of physical performance in dance, theatre, and the visual arts. Most recently she has been working in movement training for actors.
She first encountered Family Constellation Work in 2011 through finding the book Love’s Hidden Symmetry by Bert Hellinger on a friend’s kitchen table. She has been following a thread with it ever since, from personal work to facilitation and now she's thrilled to be training to teach the principles of the work with The Centre for Systemic Constellations (UK).

She loves holding a space in which others can find a different story about their relationship with their families.

Finding Home in Our Bodies
YOUR BODY SPEAKS ITS MIND. Somatic Movement Workshop - led by Padmadarshini

Padmadarshini says:

Movement is our first language; it comes before words and arises naturally as a way of expressing ourselves and continues throughout our lives in everything we do whether we know it or not! An early somatic practitioner, Stanley Kelman, wrote a book called 'your body speaks its mind', which expresses this so well.

In these workshops, we give space to the body, listening to and allowing movement to arise more from inner impulses than outer forms. In this way we come to the body not for exercise, not for performance, not for any particular reason but rather to let the body 'speak its mind'.

So in these workshops I offer and share different ways into movement - ways that are open, exploratory, playful, more guided by listening to our bodies than following external instructions.

I will offer some suggestions, themes, invitations to help us find our way into being with our body as it is and the body's need and call for movement or stillness. Sometimes we will have music to support our movement and other times we move in silence.

I invite you to come and join me if this calls you.

These sessions are open to everyone. You don't need to have any experience at anything like this - just an openness to explore.

The session runs 10.30 - 1.30 in the studio at Bodywise and the cost is £50 or £40 concessions.
