We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Cancer52 patient survey on Monday 1st June. Cancer52 is a charity and an alliance of over 100 patient groups and charities that represent and support people with rare and less common cancers.

The survey will help us to strengthen the voices of people affected by rare and less common cancers. Through the survey, we hope to gather insights into patients’ experiences, challenges, and priorities across the cancer journey, helping to inform future advocacy work.

We will use the findings of this survey in our work to influence Government and NHS policy to improve diagnosis, access to treatments, and quality of life for people with rare and less common cancers.

Please find out how to contribute to this survey by visiting our website here:

The friends commented ' Every mile we run is for hope, strength, and support for those going through treatment and recovery.
Together, we can remind every kidney cancer patient that they are not running this race alone. This is more than just a race.'

We are delighted to have been invited to join the Uro Oncology Nurse Traing Day in Sheffield today. This is a great way for us to meet some of the nurses who treat kidney cancer patients in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
Today's event has over 20 nurses in attendance, we have been sharing with them the services we provide for patients and how we support nurses with our Renal Oncology Nurse Network.

A small early study suggests a new immunotherapy may help some cancers that no longer respond to standard treatment, especially a common type of kidney cancer called clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The results were very encouraging in this population of patients. All the patients in the study had been heavily pretreated. They all had a number of different treatments, in some cases three, four, or five different types of medicine and their cancer had progressed through each of them.
