The Papillon Project

The Papillon Project Hashimoto’s, FM/ME, ASD, MH and WI- I’ve studied nutrition for six+ years to better understand my cacophony of health acronyms - making changes is hard!!!

THE PERSON YOU ARE DESTINED TO BECOME IS THE PERSON YOU DECIDE TO BE. I realised a few years ago that I needed to step up and make some changes to my health and that of my family. In 2010, I made a life changing decision to enrol on a nutrition course. I have an autoimmmune under-active thyroid condition that was impeding the quality of my life. Like many who are borderline hyperthyroid or who hav

e many other health complaints, it is difficult to get started on the path you know will help but which seems so daunting. Since taking control, I have drastically improved my own health and because my family have endured all the experimental changes I implemented, they are also feeling the benefits. Each of us is a unique biochemical individual therefore one size does not fit all. We each have a starting point - current diet, financial status, motivation - and we each have a goal in mind of where we want to be; the path in between is very rarely straight forward which is where individualised guidance is invaluable. How can The Papillon Project help you? HEALTH:

As mentioned before, I am currently studying Naturopathic Medicine which my college describes as:

"Naturopathic Nutrition stresses the use of whole and organic foods as medicine - an integral concept of healing in many indigenous societies. Today, we see that a return to chemical-free foods, along with other dietary measures, is an effective answer to many health complaints and common conditions. CNM students learn about the physiological and biochemical processes involved in nourishment, and the energetic side of food as well. Thousands of years ago, master healers in China perceived a way to classify food and disease according to simple, easily observed patterns; one eats cooling foods for overheated conditions, and warming foods are best for people who feel too cold. Detoxifying foods are for those who carry an excess of toxins, and building foods are good for deficient persons, and so on. The traditional Chinese and East Indian Ayurvedic systems have been used with pinpoint accuracy to diagnose disease conditions, and to categorise foods as medicine." Many of my clients have achieved amazing results and have gone on to inspire others. Disclaimer: As a student I cannot create a protocol which includes supplements or which deals with specific medical issues. I can however, if you need nutritional advice on specific complex medical issues, recommend therapist who will specialise in your condition. Warmest wishes
