It often saddens me (and frustrates me) to realise what people don't know about mental health, wellbeing & performance.
For probably 95% of people, there is a whole other world and perspective that they don't know even know exists.
Take one of my current clients who is a very successful operations manager for a hospitality company. He recently had a big promotion, taking on more responsibility and expectation.
He was experiencing major self-doubt and fear around making big decisions, as well a lot of anxiety about speaking up in meetings, which was stopping him from asserting himself and saying what needed to be said.
He came to me (not knowing what was truly possible) looking for strategies to "manage" this.
I told him that we could do a lot better than management of the issue and actually release and change the deeply held fears and beliefs that were driving these issues, so that he wouldn't have to "cope" with them anymore at all.
I could tell he thought this was a bit too good to be true, but he was prepared to commit anyway.
I saw him yesterday (several weeks on from his first session with me) and he's stunned by the changes he's experienced. He's been feeling so much more confident in his decision-making, speaking up in meetings and asserting himself.
We created a really powerful anchor for him (which I do with all my clients) that allows to enter into a really strong feeling of confidence and power whenever he needs it- and he's been using this consistently, with great results over the past few weeks.
He told me that he didn't think such a profound change in a single session was even possible and yesterday we worked on progressing this further- allowing him to improve his sleep, exercise routines and ability to to assert his boundaries and to say no to more work when he's at capacity.
With mental health, wellbeing and performance, for the vast majority of people it's a case of "you don't know what you don't know".
How can you begin using approaches that you don't even know exist, let alone know what they can do actually do for you?
I always say that for big results with wellbeing & performance, you have to look outside the mainstream.
The mainstream media and medical system don't even mention a lot of the modalities I use because they're considered "pseudoscience".
So the vast majority of people, who only consider what the mainstream news or doctors tell them is true, end up missing out on the power of things like meridian tapping (TFT in my case or EFT), hypnosis and NLP to name but a few modalities I use with my clients, that would actually create true transformation for them.
