Following a change to the programme today's walk started in Doe Lea and headed towards Carr Vale along the Stockley Trail. Upon reaching the Carr Vale nature reserve we turned towards Sutton Scarsdale where we had our lunch break in the grounds of Sutton Scarsdale Hall. From the hall we made our way to Heath and back to our starting point. A short sharp shower accompanied our walk up to the hall but soon passed.
Thanks to Brian for today's walk.

A gorgeous sunny day for a climb out of Baslow up towards Curbar and along Curbar Edge, with big Peak District views and a few fun rocky scrambles. We continued over Froggatt Edge, then crossed onto White Moor and along White Edge, where a small group of deer appeared across the heather. Looped back to Curbar and headed downhill into Baslow — finishing with a well‑earned ice cream in the sunshine.
Thanks to Vanessa for leading today.
