It really is too easy to look at the darkness in our lives and ask "why me?" without fully considering the "why me?" part the whole time...

This is not to victim blame, drag down or spin a narrative of building a rod for you own back... but it is to highlight the fact that if the same patterns are on repeat, we need to acknowledge the need for change.

What works, what doesn't? Are my boundaries, standards and values aligned with my intentions, actions and words? Do the people I choose to have in my life reflect the type of person I choose to be? What do I need to work on to ensure I'm not neglecting these things and hurting myself in all of this?

Thank you to those along the journey who have reminded me of why I'm here and who I truly am... I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. šŸ¦‹šŸ

There's something interesting that happens when a person goes through such a soul crushing trauma... Not only do they get to find out how truly strong they really are, but they get to take away the gift of lessons learned.

We often break our own hearts by asking "why is someone mistreating me?" rather than looking at ourselves and saying "why am I allowing this mistreatment?" and walking away.

In the end, the pain we feel as the consequence is inevitable. But one thing I've learned? You do not come out of the other side the same person. You're stronger, wiser and burn brighter than ever with your newfound ability to establish healthy boundaries and higher standards.

You will also likely learn that the pain you've been harbouring all this time was never really yours to begin with- just the aftermath of someone else's demons pointing their fingers at you.

So I have to thank you for the pain that I carry now... Love is not a game and I don't have time for players ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

A person that's not safe to disagree with is simply not a safe person...

If people only love you when you conform to their beliefs, opinions and perspectives, they're not your people. It's as simple as that.

It should feel safe to hold your own values and perspectives whilst also engaging with others who may view things differently. It's not about agreeing with everything, it's about learning to respect other perspectives without allowing your ego to create drama from it.

I refuse to chameleon. And no, I'm not sorry for that one. Be teachable, allow others to show you a different viewpoint and learn that just because you may not agree, does not make the other person wrong.

If you're right in every room you enter... you've simply avoided the correct room to protect your ego.

Pride. Ego. Greed.
It destroys the original purpose of what a lot of people in the spiritual "community" claim to be doing.

I do not care who has more experience, knowledge, wisdom, crystals or popularity over me. I'm in competition with no one but myself. The moment you try to put out the flame of another to make yourself feel more important is the very moment you lack any power in my eyes.

Your gifts are not held in what you know, who you know or what you earn... but in who you are, how you treat others and the world around you.

So yeah. Phoenix Rising isn't a well known name, but I as an individual am known for my heart... It seems others are known for climbing the ladder by discarding people on their way up the circuit? So keep snubbing those less popular or that learn via others you have imaginary beef with. Pretence can only get a person so far...

I'm sure you know what it feels like to hit rock bottom, right? To feel like the universe is conspiring against you, like everything is going wrong, everyone is judging you and you can't seem to come back from your mistakes. How did that feel?

With that being said, let's apply empathy to our approach to others. You want to succeed? Okay! Just be sure not to bite the hand that feeds when others have supported you. You find "competition" in growth? Knocking someone down wont expedite your elevation. You want to move on from your mistakes? Well be sure not to tear others down for theirs.

Focus on your inner light and utilise that knowledge, compassion and empathy to inspire others to do well too. The universe has enough room for every star in the sky... ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Sometimes the hardest battles we face are self imposed. Not intentionally, but inner battles can create struggle and stagnation if we choose not to act. Particularly in cases where we cannot seem to get our heart and mind to agree.

In most cases, I tell people to follow their hearts... But there are exceptions. The trick is to go into experiences with an open heart, but a strong mind. Find the balance and act accordingly.

It's not an easy lesson, but it will help you to navigate the difficult choices with clarity over illustrated comfort orchestrated by false hopes and "what if's"...ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Do not give up on yourself. Each previous evolution of you would be so proud of the version you are now and the one thats becoming. Offer the same grace to yourself and look back on who you were before with compassion and gratitude. Each phase of who you were held a significance to carry you through each season in your journey- to pave the way to evolution. To learn each lesson necessary to allow space for growth.

Self love is not always the little "treat yourself" moments, taking cute selfies and hyping yourself up, getting all glam and flaunting your physical beauty... It's deeper set in the motions of self acceptance and love for all you were, all you are and who you are yet to be.

Your experiences may shape you, but only YOU can define you. ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Ah yes. The huge misconception that is your shadow self. The parts of you that you may relate to shame, anger or trauma... Right? Well it's still a part of you, regardless, and what a beautiful version it can be if intergrated with patience, grace and understanding.

You see, the parts of you that you bury from the world, for whatever reason, still make you YOU. Do not allow anyone to tell you that your darker side needs to be destroyed or changed- it doesn't! What "needs" to happen is a deep level of introspection to understand the shadow self. Only then can you intergrate with it for "ascension" by transmuting the energies this version of you presents.

Try to look at it this way. Poets use heartbreak and transmute their pain into writing. Musicians take their struggles and write them into song for others to relate. Artists take their anger and use it as motivation to fuel their next masterpiece. Without the shadow self, our work would lack authenticity and soul.

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who at one point walked beside me along my spiritual journey through 2023, itā€™s definitely been a year of ā€˜I never thought this could have ever happenedā€™ and I have so much love and gratitude towards you all!

First and foremost, thank you with all of my heart to Dave Green of Natural Self, I know for sure I couldnā€™t have chosen a better person to learn from, especially in regards to the Tarot. You encouraged and motivated me to take on the Diploma aspect, helped me connect to like minded people so that I could complete the case studies and took the time to read 111 pages worth of content! šŸ¤­ Youā€™re a fantastic teacher and a brilliant friend and I couldnā€™t be more grateful for you. passing your diploma is honestly one of the greatest achievements for me in 2023ā€¦ reiki next! Also! The following things that I got to experience could not have happened without you!

I started up a tarot tiktok page and crossed paths with Rich at Urban Warlock Healing who became one of those friends that you just instantly click with and bounce off one anotherā€™s energy. Rich did so much to encourage and boost my confidence in this world and even nudged me to sign onto my first ever events. You mentioned me on Full Circle Podcast and we had some in depth back and forth debates on TikTok. You took part in one of my first live videos and we celebrated one anotherā€™s wins, both big and small. Without you, I probably would have waited too long to take that leap of faith, so thank you for giving me the strength! Iā€™ll be forever grateful for the friendship we had, thank you.
