2015 this was taken! Me in my treatment room, at home after we had converted our garage to into my little sanctuary!
I found this photo when I was looking back, trying to find a photo from when I first started. Unfortunately, I don’t seem to be able to find one as I first qualified in 2010 my phone photos don’t seem to go back that far!
2010…. Where my first treatment room was our lounge 😌.
Our first house was a small semi with a tiny kitchen and a lounge-diner so whenever I was treating my poor husband was confined to upstairs in our bedroom 🥹
When I look back it’s reminded me of two things:
1. You soon forget what you’ve achieved
2. Who has been your rock, supporting you all the way through!
For those of you that don’t know Simon, my amazing husband, he has been my rock, my best friend, my biggest critic and my number one supporter!
He’s helped me grow my business from
- Our lounge
- to a small garden room
- to converting a room above a CrossFit gym
- to a full a garage conversion
- to kitting out an additional room at Ransom Wood
- to creating BTST as you know it now at Holly Farm
When I started writing this post I wasn’t sure what I was going to write. I was just going to look at where it all started. But in doing so it’s highlighted to be just what an amazing guy my husband is! (I best put a photo of Simon up as well now 😂)
The other thing it’s done is it’s reminded me where I started.
It’s so easy to just keep focusing on the mountain top but it’s very humbling to occasionally look back and see just how far you’ve come and I’ve certainly made a lot of memories over the years. You only have to look through your FB page photos to see some of the most amazing times we’ve had.
Whilst the top of the mountain never seems to get any closer and is often covered by clouds making it hard to see where I’m aiming. There’s one thing for certain, I will never, ever stop pushing for better and silently in the background will be my amazing husband, Simon keeping me sane and probably building something I’ve decided I want new for my clinic 😂
Let’s see where we are in another 10years! 🫶
