One thing I’ve started doing recently is putting everything I’ve eaten that day into ChatGPT.
It sounds a bit geeky, but I’ve found it really useful.
What I like is that it doesn’t just tell me calories. It looks at my protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals and overall nutrition. Sometimes I’ll think I’ve had a really healthy day and it’ll point out that I’ve barely eaten enough protein. Other days it’ll tell me I’ve smashed the protein but could probably do with a few more vegetables tomorrow.
For me, it’s taken a lot of the guesswork out of eating well.
I’m not trying to be perfect, and I still enjoy butter, bread, wine and all the things that make life worth living. 😂 But after losing weight and working hard to improve my health, I want to make sure I’m actually nourishing my body rather than just eating less.
It’s become a bit of a daily check-in. No judgement, no guilt, just useful information that helps me make slightly better choices the next day.
And as it turns out, those slightly better choices add up.
