Being a Business Owner and a Clinician ✨
People often ask me which role I prefer – being a clinician or running a business.
The truth is, I genuinely love both.
I love being a clinician because I get to meet incredible individuals and families, listen to their stories, help them understand themselves better, and support them to move forward with confidence. Those conversations, those breakthroughs, and those moments when someone finally feels understood are why I started this journey.
But I also love being a business owner.
I love building something meaningful. Creating opportunities for other clinicians. Developing services that fill gaps in support. Finding new ways to improve access to assessments and post-diagnostic support. Turning ideas into reality and watching Lycali grow into something that can make a difference to more people than I could ever reach alone.
Some days I’m writing reports and meeting families. Other days I’m working on strategy, partnerships, governance, marketing, recruitment, or new projects. Every part comes with its own challenges, but every part contributes to the same goal.
Lycali has always been about creating a service where people feel heard, valued, and supported every step of the way.
And whilst balancing clinical work and business ownership can be demanding, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Because when purpose and passion come together, work doesn’t feel like work.
✨ Here’s to growing, learning, leading, and continuing to support neurodiverse minds every step of the way.
