If a client came to me with anxiety, this is what I would tell them.

You do not need less uncertainty.
You need a bigger capacity to handle uncertainty.
Most anxiety comes from wanting guarantees that life cannot give.
People change.
Plans fail.
Things go wrong.
The solution is not controlling everything around you.
The solution is learning how to regulate yourself when things don’t go to plan.

My suggestions ~
5 minutes meditation every morning
Daily EFT (Tapping)
Less time in your head
More time in your body
Less focus on tomorrow
More focus on today
The goal isn’t to feel good all the time.
The goal is to stay grounded when you don’t.
Life gets easier when you stop demanding certainty & start building resilience.

Be the change (you want!)

March/April Salty Book Club read & discussed - Pandora’s Jar by Natalie Haynes, a myth-busting, feminist retelling of Greek myths that reframes women not as villains, but as misunderstood figures shaped by storytelling over time.

April/May is - On Our Best Behavior by Elise Loehnen she explores how the idea of being a “good woman” Loehnen argues that qualities like self-sacrifice, restraint, & putting others first are not purely natural or virtuous, but learned behaviours rooted in a patriarchal system & conditioned women to suppress their needs, ambitions, & desires in order to be seen as good. On our best behaviour is a cultural & personal exploration of how women have been trained to prioritise goodness over themselves & a call to reclaim autonomy, & live more honestly and fully.
