🪷SLIDING SCALE PAYMENTS & COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS 🪷

Community is at the heart of what we do here at Union. Over the years we’ve seen so many people make meaningful friendships. After class, we’ve seen people who are new tentatively come out of the studio being asked by another student if they would like to join for a cuppa tea or come along to book club. It really is such a beautiful thing to see! The care being shown by our students is something really special.

To ensure our classes are accessible we’ve always offered community focused pricing options, whether that’s our sliding scale, or pay what you can community membership. We love this one because it means that the people who can afford to pay a little more do, and then that directly pays for the people who can’t afford the standard rate.

This is done on a trust and goodwill basis and you will never be asked for proof of income.

We carefully set our prices so that we can still pay our overheads (rent, energy bills, insurance, etc) and pay our wonderful team a fair wage.

Thank you so much to everyone for showing up to practice with us each week.

We ♥️ You!

We are over the moon to be welcoming Jess into our community of teachers here at Union ♥️ although this will be the first time Jess steps onto our mat as a yoga teacher, we have known her for a long time! In fact, Jess has been a long time student of ours and came through our yoga teacher training program in 2021 and we’ve been following her journey as a teacher ever since. Jess will be starting our brand new 5.30 Tuesday class from the 2nd June and we could not be more delighted 🪷🪷 here’s a little bit about her..

Jessica first found yoga in her early teens after borrowing her mum’s yoga DVD, and from that moment something just clicked. What began as curiosity slowly grew into a huge part of her life, leading her towards years of exploring movement, healing and the body-mind connection through aerial arts, Dance Movement Psychotherapy, meditation, reiki and yoga.

What Jessica loves most about teaching is creating space for people to reconnect with themselves and feel more at home in their bodies. She loves guiding classes that build heat, energy and release before softening into stillness and relaxation, helping students leave feeling lighter, grounded and more connected to themselves.

Jess’s Tuesday 5.30pm class will be a heat-building practice focused on strength, stability, and mindful movement. This class blends slow-flowing sequences with grounding holds and controlled transitions to help you build both physical and mental resilience. Expect a calm but powerful class, leaving you feeling strong, balanced, and relaxed.

Can’t wait to see you on the teachers mat ♥️♥️♥️

Dear Yogi’s,

We have just 2 left on this much-loved workshop with Eliza on the 2nd May.

Restorative Yoga is unique in that its whole approach is based on minimising impact and stress on the tissues of the body. In photos, it can look a lot like Yin, but the intention and approach are worlds apart.
Yin yoga is designed to place controlled, healthy stress on the deeper tissues of the body—improving circulation and releasing tension.
Restorative yoga, on the other hand, removes as many stressors as possible through the use of props, specific cues, and postures that create minimal impact on the joints. This is why it can feel a little unusual if you’ve never tried it before—especially if you’re used to classes that aim to create strong sensations in the body.
Restorative yoga is perfect for those working with chronic illness, depletion, exhaustion, physical rehab, or anyone with a busy life in need of something deeply restful.
Paired with yoga Nidra & sound, this practice is a trio made in heaven.
Eliza is a long-time practitioner and teacher of all three modalities, as well as a teacher of teachers—so you can rest assured you’re in very good hands for this blissful morning of deep rest.

Exploring the Subtle Body System as part of our 200 hour yoga teacher training program …

‘‘We do not see things as they are, we see things as WE are’’ Anais Nin

The yoga practice accesses not only the bones & muscles of the body, but the deeper layers that we can’t necessarily see or touch. We will journey through a practical exploration of the Chakras, Nadis & Koshas and learn about accessing the subtler layers of the body using Yoga Nidra, Pranayama & Meditation techniques.

We are so excited to be now taking registrations for our 20207 cohort

The session will begin with a slow, gentle yin yoga practice focused on calming the nervous system, releasing energetic and physical blockages, and creating space for mental clarity and stillness. Laura’s Pilates classes on Mondays are getting very popular indeed! Laura teaches the classical Pilates repertoire, with a really big focus on supporting each individuals needs throughout the class.

Pilates is such a brilliant compliment to yoga, as it brings awareness to the entire core, along with the posterior chain, mostly focussing on stability over stretch.

We like to playfully say that Yoga is medicine for the soul, & Pilates is medicine for body! Although both are actually brilliant for body, mind & spirit ♥️♥️

We offer Pilates every Monday with Laura at 1pm, and every Thursday with Tammy at 10am

This class is the perfect way to unwind after a long day

We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
