As the temperature starts to drop and summer is (unfortunately) coming to an end, you might be tempted to turn to a sunbed to keep your summer glow.

But a tan from a sunbed isn't a safe tan.

Sunbeds expose your skin to concentrated UV radiation. The NHS advises against their use, with sunbeds linked to skin cancer, premature skin ageing, sunburn and eye irritation.

UV light from the sun and sunbeds is also the most common cause of melanoma skin cancer.

Protecting your skin’s long-term health has to come first.
Please don't swap the summer sunshine for a sunbed.

And if you notice a new or unusual mark, or a mole that changes in size, shape or colour, the NHS recommends having it checked by your GP.

❓ Can you remove any mole or skin lesion?
No. Before any mole, pigmented lesion or skin blemish is removed, it must first be assessed to ensure it is safe for treatment.

We can arrange a Consultant Dermatologist review through Map My Mole, with reports typically returned within 48 hours, or you can choose to see your GP first.

❓ Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a brief cold or stinging sensation that lasts only a few seconds.

❓ What can CryoPen® treat?
CryoPen® can be used to treat many common benign skin lesions, including skin tags, warts, verrucas, cherry angiomas, milia and age spots.

❓ How long does treatment take?
Most treatments take just a few minutes, depending on the size and type of lesion being treated.
