A reminder that lumbar mobilisation doesn’t always need to be forceful.

Sometimes, controlled movement, good positioning and clinical reasoning are all that’s needed.

Precision over force. 👐

Working on the gluteal tissues using myofascial inhibition techniques. 🍑👐🏼

Evidence suggests these techniques may help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support healthier movement patterns.

A small part of the bigger osteopathic goal: helping you move better and feel better.

One of my go-to osteopathic techniques for shoulder and upper back tension.

This combination of scapular mobilisation and myofascial release helps improve:

Movement quality,
Reduce muscular tension,
Release fascial restrictions.

👉🏼Effective treatment doesn’t always need to be aggressive—precision and understanding of movement matter most.

Bookings now available every Tuesday & 2x Saturdays at .rothley 💪🏼

Hip aeroplanes are one of my favourite exercises for improving hip mobility, balance, and pelvic control.

From an osteopathic perspective, optimal movement relies on the body working as a connected unit.

Restrictions or weakness around the hips can lead to compensations through the knees, pelvis, or lower back, potentially contributing to pain and dysfunction over time.

This exercise challenges the glutes, deep hip stabilisers, and core while improving hip rotation and single-leg stability—key components for efficient movement in everyday life and sport.

Regular practice can help improve movement quality, reduce unnecessary strain on surrounding joints, and build resilience through the whole kinetic chain.

Give them a try and let me know how you get on 👇🏼

👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

1. Your body isn’t fragile
Pain doesn’t automatically mean damage. Most of the time, your body is adapting — not breaking.

2. Rest isn’t always the answer
Short-term, yes. Long-term? Movement is what helps tissues recover, build strength, and become more resilient.

3. There’s no such thing as “perfect posture”
Your body is designed to move, not hold one position all day. The best posture is the one that changes often.

4. Rehab doesn’t have to be complicated
Consistency beats complexity every time. Simple exercises done regularly > perfect programmes you don’t stick to.

5. Pain is influenced by more than just your body
Stress, sleep, workload, and lifestyle all play a role. Treating pain isn’t just about muscles and joints.

6. You don’t need to rely on treatment forever
The goal should always be to get you feeling confident in your body — not dependent on hands-on therapy.

If you’re dealing with pain or recurring injuries, focusing on these basics will take you further than you think.

Save this for later — and if you’re dealing with ongoing pain, feel free to DM me ✅

It’s not just about pressure - it’s about precision 💆🏼‍♀️

In all my massage therapy sessions I tailor the pressure to you — your body, your symptoms, your goals🌟

When working through the body, I’m assessing:

👉🏼Tension & muscle tone
👉🏼Movement patterns
👉🏼Areas of overload

From there, pressure is adapted to get the best response from your tissues — not just a temporary sensation.

✔️ Right pressure
✔️ Right areas
✔️ Right intent

📊 What does the science suggest?

Consistency matters more than intensity:

• Performance / training:
1–2x per week (short-term blocks) to support recovery & mobility

• Long-term / wellness:
Every 3–6 weeks to maintain tissue health & prevent flare-ups

Massage works best as part of a bigger plan 📈
