As parents, we are never prepared for the milestones, not really.

We are told which ones are the most significant, 16, 18, 21, but that’s curated, not felt which means emotions can turn up unexpectedly when our young person reaches another transition.

At 20, it is the end of the stereotypical teenage years, but not the end of our love, care and guidance as we support them to navigate the world as it is now.

Being a steady guide in the background rather than existing in the foreground.

Allowing this changing relationship to evolve and experiencing all that it brings.

And if you can take the step back without being consumed by the fears and anxieties….what you see will truly amaze you from your incredible young person.

Drumming can pique curiosity, an inner knowing and a desire to learn more.

My intention is to create a safely held space for women to come, and experience it for themselves.

Setting aside the demands on their time, and expectations of their presence.

Time to be with other like minded women and experience how the drum can support you without words, in a caring, compassionate space.
