One of the parts of my work I’m most passionate about is supporting children, teenagers and young adults.
My sessions are relaxed and conversational, not formal or intimidating. We talk, we explore what’s going on, and we build practical tools they can actually use in everyday life. Some young people come to me struggling with confidence, anxiety, low self-belief, difficult experiences, or just feeling a bit lost.
Together, we work on helping them feel more grounded, more capable, and more like themselves again.
I can work with young people in my therapy space or, where appropriate, in their own home environment. I hold an Enhanced DBS and always create a calm, safe and non-judgemental space.
Recently, a parent said something that really stayed with me:
“You should be proud. She is a confident, clever young woman now. She was a very different child at 12 and that transformation wouldn’t have happened without you.”
Of course, the young person did the work themselves. But it reminded me why I do this.
Sometimes change comes from being seen, heard, supported, and gently encouraged to believe in yourself.
And that is never lost on me
