Today we held a Professional's Open Day at The Laurel Hine Centre to open up our doors to the local professional community for an opportunity to see what we do, and also to network with each other over coffee and cake.

The event was a huge success and we had a variety of professionals visit including social workers, village agents, staff from the GP surgery in addition to many other professionals from local organisations.

We are continuing to engage with local professionals to spread the word about the variety of support that we can offer, to try and support as many people in the local community as possible.

Today we had the fabulous Take Note Musical Group sing some timeless tunes for the clients to be entertained by and sing along to.

It really was a lovely addition to our usual range of activities and we can't wait to have them come back to sing with us again.

We are so grateful to the local community for supporting our day centre in Martock to thrive and enrich our client's lives.

Laurel Hine Centre is a local, established day centre in Martock in Somerset, which offers a place for friendship, companionship and a safe and welcoming environment. Our goal is to combat loneliness and isolation in the local community.

We are able to cater for people of all ages and with a range of disabilities.

We have a range of daily activities for you to choose from, and fresh home cooked food each day. We also offer showering facilities with qualified Health Care Assistants.

We offer a Full Day or a Half Day package, or you can just pop in for a cup of tea or lunch.
