Hey everyone, it's Vee! ❤️👋🏻
I’m coming up to nearly a year since having sepsis on my lungs, alongside some heart issues, I just wanted to make a little update post for everyone 🙏🏻
This last year has been a huge adjustment for me physically and mentally, and I’ve had to take things very steadily. Not overload myself with excess stress mainly because of my heart.
To some it may have looked like I’ve completely fallen off the map because I’ve been pretty much nonexistent on socials, and have thought maybe clients are wondering "is Vee still tattooing?" but I’m still very much here, just quietly plodding on and have been taking booking to those who has enquired.
I haven’t really been posting much work this past year because I’ve been focusing on the clients already booked in while trying not to overwhelm myself during recovery, and to be honest, I've been scared to post anything, I couldn't tell you why and this is something I've been struggling with quietly.
Learning to prioritise a healthier work-life balance has honestly changed my perspective on both life and tattooing, and taking Mondays and Sundays off has been such a blessing. Thank you so much to all my amazing clients for being patient, supportive, and continuing to keep me busy even while I’ve been quiet online. Becoming a tattooist was always my dream growing up, and I still feel incredibly lucky that I get to do this every day 🖤
✨ With that being said ✨ I’m actively taking bookings and enquiries again, and I’ll be getting back into posting regularly so you all know I haven’t died or quit 😅🙏🏻
I’ll also be sharing some sleeve/backpiece concepts, some smaller set pieces I'd love to do and maybe even a few cheeky discounts will be around 👀
I’m currently booking for end of August / early September, with Mondays staying as my admin day while I slowly find my rhythm again.
Thank you all for sticking with me through whatever the hell this last year has been. I feel like I’m coming out the other side of it, and I’m so excited to make more beautiful tattoos and spend time with both old and new clients 🖤
Just to make this post even longer, I can't not mention the support I've had around me from my beautiful friends and family. My husband's been so supportive in keeping me going behind the scenes. Also who I class as life long friends who are also my work family, thank you to everyone at Secret Garden Tattoo for always believing in me, being patient with me and keeping me living 🙏🏻
