Today I had to postpone a client’s dermal appointment after finding out just before treatment that she was flying on Saturday.
As disappointing as it can be, your safety will always come first. There are a few important reasons why I may advise waiting until after your trip for injectable treatments.
I need to be able to monitor you closely and provide immediate follow-up care if needed. If you are abroad or travelling, this becomes much more difficult and could delay treatment.
Flying shortly after some treatments can also increase swelling, bruising, and discomfort due to changes in cabin pressure and dehydration. Everyone heals differently, and I would never want a client to be away worrying about unexpected swelling or needing support while overseas.
For this reason, I always recommend allowing enough time between filler appointments and travel plans wherever possible.
Thank you to all my clients for understanding that consultations are there to protect your health, safety, and results — not just to “tick a box.” 🤍
