The weather wasn't very suitable for cycling this morning but Abbey Hill made a surprise visit to drop of a belated birthday card and a lovely piece of artwork that will be mounted on the wall of the cycling clubhouse. Thank you everyone.

There is no better to spend your birthday than cycling with your friends. Thank you Clover Group Education and Social Hub for the birthday wishes and lovely present. Great to see everyone enjoying the sunshine and getting a few laps in at the Middlesbrough Sports Village cycling circuit.

It was a grey overcast day at Middlesbrough Sports Village until Transitions College arrived and brought sunshine and blue skies. Everyone had a great time trying different bikes. Well done Thomas, the second student in the group to learn to ride a 2-wheel bike at the inclusive cycling sessions.

Abbey Hill rose to the challenge and smashed it, 2 weeks ahead of schedule!!! A target of 100 laps was set as a fundraising event that all the students could take part in. It was another fabulous day, everyone had a great time, staff included.

Great to see Transitions College enjoy another cycling session. Will have some different types of bikes to try next week. What could they be?

It was lovely to watch everyone from Transitions College have such a great time today. A student that learned to ride last week continued to gain confidence and impressed us all. Another student took the first steps in learning to ride and got off to a great start. Watch this space and check next week for updates.

Another fabulous day with the Abbey Hill Academy sponsored bike ride. 50 laps done, were are half way there!!

It was another fabulous day with Beverley School, Anas had a great time, well done everyone.

Anas in Class 10 had a real wow moment this week. He went on his first offsite visit of the year to Stockton Wheelers and showed such maturity and responsibility throughout.
He was calm, sensible and engaged, and demonstrated growing independence - so much so that he was trusted to walk back to the bus between two adults without holding hands.
This is a huge step and a fantastic achievement! We're incredibly proud of how far he’s come and the confidence he showed.
