As some of you may know, my Grandfather recently passed away from vascular-onset dementia. I was his first granddaughter and he inspired me a lot in my art growing up being an artist himself. In turn, it felt appropriate to honour his memory with more artwork to raise money for a cause that is all too familiar to a lot of people, I imagine some of you too.
I’ve drawn this collection of flash with designs representing Alzheimer’s, dementia, and couple specific pieces that remind me of my Grandpops.
From now until June 21st (his birthday), for every piece I do from this sheet, 50% will go to Alzheimer’s Research UK; the charity my grandmother chose for his funeral, dedicated to in their search for a cure to dementia. After his birthdate, I’ll be posting how much has been raised in his memory.
