You don’t always need to buy something from us ❤️

At NHS community pharmacies, one of the most important things we do is give honest advice — even when that means telling you that you don’t need medication.

A good example is a stye 👁️

Most styes can be treated safely at home by:
✔ Applying a warm compress for 10–15 minutes�✔ Repeating this 4–6 times a day�✔ Keeping the area clean�✔ Avoiding makeup and contact lenses until it heals
❌ Never squeeze or pop a stye.

Please seek medical advice if:
• it becomes very painful
• swelling spreads
• your vision changes
• or it hasn’t improved within 48 hours

Sometimes the best treatment is simple reassurance and good self-care — and we’ll always tell you when that’s the case.

Saving people unnecessary treatments is part of good healthcare.
