We've bought quite a lot of shea butter in the last 20 years. Like any natural ingredient, it can certainly vary from harvest to harvest. It can vary slightly in texture, colour and aroma. I think the stars have aligned for this batch, it is absolutely gorgeous! A beautiful vanilla ice cream colour, soft aroma and silky texture. It might be one of the nicest batches we've ever had. Such a beautiful butter.

We turn 23 years old today, happy birthday to us! I started Akamuti from my kitchen in 2003 after falling in love with herbs and oils. I wanted to share the medicine, folklore and stories of all the plants and botanicals we use - I'm still on that quest. For well over half my life, I've been immersed in a world of beeswax, botanicals, butters and aromatics. What an honour! Thank you so much to our very loyal customers, family, friends and colleagues for supporting me on this journey. Forever grateful 🙏

Look at the gorgeous colour of this oil, it looks just like liquid sunshine😍🌞 I really enjoyed bottling this lovely argan oil. This is a wonderfully nourishing oil which is fantastic for all over body and facial moisturising. It also finds it's way into every single hair oil we make because it's just so good! 🌿 Have you tried it?
