TIGO ON TOUR!
Our lovely client Dani is currently on a cruise and has taken her THERA-Trainer tigo bike with her. We added the lockable castors to make the bike easy to manoeuvre. This is what Dani told us: "It’s amazing having my bike with me! Using it even for an hour or two while in my cabin on the balcony is a game changer. My nerve pain is manageable so it does not effect my mood."
Dani, have a wonderful time our your cruise. We wish you all the very best.

Rachael Fuller, a lead physiotherapist at Dewsbury and District Hospital is raising money for MY Hospitals Charity.

This is their story:
Throughout June, the incredible staff, patients, families, and supporters of Wards 5 & 6 at DDH will be coming together to take on our 150 Miles Challenge.

From 1st June to 1st July, we’ll be aiming to collectively cycle 150 miles using the ward therapy bike, with both staff and patients contributing miles during rehabilitation sessions and throughout their time on the ward.

This challenge will symbolically take us on a journey from Dewsbury Hospital all the way to Whitby, travelling through some of Yorkshire’s most iconic locations along the way:
* Halifax Piece Hall – 14 miles
* Salts Mill – 27 miles
* Brontë Parsonage – 38 miles
* Cow and Calf on’t Moor – 54 miles
* Mother Shipton’s Cave – 74 miles
* York Minster – 102 miles
* Castle Howard – 118 miles
* Whitby – 150 miles

Wards 5 & 6 are the hospital’s Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation wards, supporting patients through recovery, rehabilitation, and rebuilding independence after life-changing illness and injury. Every mile pedalled represents determination, resilience, and progress.

Last night was was THERA-Trainer UK's Christmas party. We started with wine tasting at Sally's Wine & Whiskey in Towcester, where the very knowledgeable Josh introduced us to some wonderful wines. Then we had a delicious meal at Truva. A fun evening with lots of laughter!

The physios on Spinnaker Ward at St Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth were delighted to receive a THERA-Trainer tigo passive/active bike this week.
What made this extra special was that a former patient, Glenn Nichols, raised the funds to purchase the bike and gift it to the ward. Glenn said that if they had had this device on the ward when he was an inpatient it would have benefitted him immensely. He raised the funds in order to help others on their rehabilitation journey.
