In progress removal from our own clinics ⚡️
Here’s what you should know about removals on older, scarred and blown out tattoos ⬇️
Certain tattoo characteristics can affect the skin and the removal process - so being able to identify these characteristics during a client skin assessment is very important.
• Tattoos can traumatise and scar the skin - meaning some scarring can often remain once the tattoo is gone.
Scarring is usually visible by raised or shiny skin in the tattoo area. Usually most common on dense line work.
• Ink sat too deep in the skin can be difficult to target - a 1064nm laser has the deepest pe*******on.
You’ll need to adjust your spot size and energy to find the optimal settings at different stages of your removal.
• Ink applied too densely can take more sessions to remove - and care is needed to avoid over-treating the skin in initial sessions.
The goal should always be preservation of the skin, not over-treating in favour of a quicker removal.
